I'm quite disappointed in this purchase. Let me say first, as a stone it is nice looking and heavy and good sized for a palm stone which is what I like. However, I am in a crystals and stones group online and I decided to post and ask what others thought. It was an overwhelming response of over 20-30 comments from people who know stones and crystals that it is not Kyanite. Most people said it was Blue Calcite and a few argued it was Blue Celestite (specifically "tumbled Blue Celestite" which I googled this phrase and most pics seem to indicate my stone was this). However the enormous doubt in me as to what this really is, is very real. I don't like to feel deceived and I don't like not knowing what stone I've purchased because in the area of crystals and stones it highly matters to have the correct one as people rely on the energetic qualities and no one wants to interact with something that is not what it is claimed to be. One person commented that many wholesalers in China call Blue Calcite Blue Kyanite, so it's possible this is what has happened with this seller. However, it is seller responsibility to know the true names of their product and label accordingly. As I still don't know for sure if this Calcite or Celestite I'm now going to have to try to find a place in person and hope they know for sure. Even still, the seed of doubt could remain.
