LED G23 base bulbs used to replace CFL bulbs
We got a total of 24 LED bulbs to replace our CFL bulbs. They are being used in our condo hallways and the fixtures, from the late 60's, have special G23 bases. We are a 3 story condo with long hallways. We replaced the CFL bulbs on the first floor with the LED Bulbs and are extremely pleased. The bulbs provide brighter lighting in our hallways and, since the bulbs are on 24/7, we are hoping to see a change in our electric cost. The bulbs are rated to last 30,000 hours. We are hoping we will not need to replace the bulbs every 8 months like we do now but can get 3 years of service instead. The only negative is that of the 24 bulbs we purchased, 3 had to be returned. After a few minutes, when the bulbs got warm, they started to flicker or blink. The bulbs were not pack in any padded wrap so we wonder if that is why the three bulbs were defective. We will be getting another 48 to replace our remaining two floors. Great service from the company too.

Ok if used correctly, but since they emit UVC I wouldn't use them for lighting, only disinfecting.
