Fantastic Book for a Young Baby
Plip-Plop Pond has lovely water color-like illustrations of various pond creatures. I like the style of the artist, who appears to also be the creator of this series of Indestructible books along with her daughter-in-law. (Side note: The daughter-in-law is the mother of triplets and must understand that innate need that babies have to want to destroy pages of paper). I own five books from the series and will cut and paste a similar review for all five of them on Amazon. I started out with two books and immediately bought three more and my 5.5 month old baby has been using and enjoying these books since about 4 months old. I let my baby hold the book and explore it on his own and I don't do much beyond pointing to something on the page and saying, "That's a fish!" or something similar. My baby doesn't constantly want to hear a 20 page story, he just wants to hear my voice while he joyfully attempts to rip up the book.Besides being a new mom, I'm also a librarian; formerly a Children's Librarian although now I work with adults. In any case, I'm aware of the importance of introducing the concept of books early on to get little ones prepared for reading one day and to teach them that books are enjoyable. For babies, that means getting them used to feeling a book (sometimes tasting, it can be hard to get them not to do that and it's how they explore), holding it and encouraging them to look at the pictures. I completely understand the criticisms that some of the users have for the fact that these books are wordless, thus preventing the chance to make word associations and the like. But these books are just plain fun and beautiful to look at and true to their claim, absolutely indestructible, which is all I can ask for in a book for my infant. My baby regularly chews on this book and the others we own, and I have put it in the dishwasher a couple times and it's good as new. I have not tried the washing machine yet. These books are also great for sticking in the diaper bag, as they are thin as a piece of paper practically. In fact, that's my only complaint- it's too easy to lose these books if you aren't careful because they are so slim. I can see myself scooping up a bunch of stuff to throw away and having one of these books at the bottom of a pile of old papers. Also, presentation-wise, they don't look like much but I think any of the books in the series would be a great gift to a new parent because the content is so unique and I think any baby would have fun with them.

Best books for toddlers
Great pictures. Sturdy. True to description and they take up NO room. Great for travel - road trip entertainment.

Awesome first book
This book is pretty indestructible. My granddaughter loves books and has been unable to destroy this one. She likes to tear and chew on books. She is able to enjoy this one without ruining it

These are what they say that are. I bought two of these books and they sure are pretty indestructible. They lasted through my first child's "I'm gonna destroy anything that makes a fun noise when I tear it" phase and now going strong through my baby teething. Like I said, my first child went through a phase where ripping page after page out of his AND MY fav reading books. Yes hearing the sound of pages ripping out of a book really satisfied him but was not making momma happy to see our beloved books (not to mention the cost) in tiny shreds on the floor. I hated taking all the books away from a child who loved them so much, after all I encouraged all the reading possible. I found these books and it was perfect. I could leave them laying around for my little ball of energy to read, imagine, look at pictures and try to destroy.

Bay and toddler terrific!
Awesomesauce... These books are terrific! They really do hold up, at least for us. Admittedly, my perfect little flower (🙄) is not at all destructive, but we do travel quite a bit and roll these up and shove them in a bag or find them bent later. They always bounce back fine. I only wish the publisher would license the format for other publishers to use! Board books are so heavy and bulky. I could reduce my toddler's library from two shelves to maybe half a shelf if the Eric Carle, Carl Dog, Boynton, Brett, etc. books came in this format. These stories are great, though. The pictures are beautiful/-colorful and lush without any white space on every page. I love the picture books without words (like Carl Dog books, etc.) because it gives us an opportunity to play imaginatively and develops language/narrative skills. Excellent stuff.

Truly indestructible!
Truly indestructible books! They are great for babies who are teething and always putting everything into their mouths. My wife and I have a 13 month old and when we were introduced to these they gave us reassurance that when she chewed on them she wouldn't be ingesting paper. The only down side to this particular book, Plip-plop Pond!, is there are no words, only pictures. But I suppose creative parents will be able to make up their own story! Great for kids who attempt to destruct everything! Let me say in closing that while kids (and adults!) cannot destruct these, the pages DO bend and crease, so please don't buy them thinking they are wrinkle free. They will not tear, are fully washable, and are non-toxic which means safe for baby's mouth. Go out and get your kids an indestructible and let them explore with their hands and mouths!

I outsmarted my baby. 👍
My son is 9 months old with a library of over 150 books... And Indestructibles are my FAVORITE!!!1. They are easily packed in a diaper bag, held in a car seat, not a safety hazard to others when thrown at a restaurant.2. So unique! My son has cloth books he can chew, but those don't feel like real book pages. This really does. It is almost like he thinks he is getting away with something while chewing, pulling, crushing them.3. The artwork is beautiful! He will stare at the pictures for a very long time, and there aren't many things that holds his attention besides food.4. You can wash them. Enough said.5. Finally, you literally cannot beat the price.

They really appear to be indestructible.
Love the fact that they can be ‘chewed’, scrunched up, and washed and they still keep their shape.

Decent product - our baby has done his best to disprove the Indestructible tag but no pages torn ...
Decent product - our baby has done his best to disprove the Indestructible tag but no pages torn so far, even if some look a bit mangled. Artwork not as striking as I'd hoped but isn't bad.
