Fox Run Marble Pastry Board, 12" x 16", White

I love this! I was looking for something flat and large like this, not as a cookie board, and this is perfect. But if this product was looked at for simply a cutting board, it seems pretty good. It is very big and VERY heavy so do keep that in mind. It has little feet on the bottom of it that hold it about a half inch up. When I reserved it, it was very hot due to weather but cooled down after about 10 or so minutes out of the box.It could in a box, in a box. The box it came in was huge with a lot of extra space which was mostly filled with paper. I think it should be shipped in a shorter box, its about a feet and a half tall but whatever. There was a small amount of damage but nothing severe or surprising since it is made of a rock. And the face I got with my marble is simply captivating.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my mother, who has been wanting something similar. After looking on several websites for the perfect fit, I found this Marble Pastry Board. It seemed to be the best price for the size of the marble slab. It just arrived today and it was packaged with much care so that it wouldn't break in shipping. There was a massive box with a bunch of packing paper and a smaller box inside of it. The smaller box had a bunch of bubble wrap and finally the product box inside of it. The product box had a Styrofoam mold around the marble. Once I finally got to the marble itself, it was beautiful. It is nice and smooth, with no cracks, or scratches. I'm very satisfied with this product and just might buy one for myself.

Seems durable enough, but I haven't had it long enough to know for sure. Each one is unique, so, if you are looking for more than one, don't expect the patterns to match, which is a GOOD THING, as it shows that these are the real deal. They are sturdy and very beautiful and smooth...easy to wipe down with a damp cloth. Gives countertop an old world feel without having to redo the entire countertop. This adds elegance and function to any kitchen.

I would have given 5* but was hoping for more white and it is very gray with lots of marbleing. I have quartz countertops that mimic marble and these do work OK with them. Wish they had used silicone feet, as they tend to slide around while cutting and chopping. But, really, for the price, the two I bought are just fine. I would recommend them. Wish I had bought one size bigger on one of them though.

I bought this to use in my art projects (I make miniature clay sculptures) because the marble has a very cold, flat surface that works well with the intended purpose. I'm not so certain about using it as a cutting board, as marble is usually intended to be used to roll out dough. You may actually wreck your knives doing so, and probably start tearing up the non-stick on the board itself. I tend to use an Xacto knife and several other art tools with it, and while I've had no wear or tear on it in the time that I've had it, I do realize that eventually I may have to reapply the non-stick coating or get small lines in the board itself. It is a tiny bit heavy, but that is to be expected from a solid piece of marble. It's not too heavy, though, and most people wouldn't have a real need to move it about too much. It cleans really easily with soap and water, as well, when it comes to clay, though it is a bit big for any sink! I haven't noticed any residue left behind whenever I do so.Over all, while for what I have it for works really great, I do believe it would also work marvelously as a "product placement" board (to show off all those awesome things you've made!) or as a board to roll out dough and pasties. I don't really recommend using knives of any kind on it.

After reading reviews and wanting something better than a pizza pan that I used to use for rolling out dough, this is superb. The only thing, that frightened me, is when I received it, it was wobbly, I thought about filing the feet down, but then thought, if I do that and file them down too much, it will mess the physics up on its originality, so after brainstorming, I used duct tape on the feet on opposites ends to even it out, perfect. This arrived quickly, well packaged and for the price, it is one of the best decisions I have made to update my cooking utensils and accessories for my kitchen, I previously ordered the marble rolling pin, they look so awesome together on my kitchen counter, it is high quality, well made, natural and I would highly recommend this, not to mention the price is the best for the quality and appearance of the board. If you are considering a marble pastry board, this one is it!

Dont get me wrong, its really pretty, but the item has some flaws. First, there was a big white streak across the middle. Secound, It slides. The stubs on the buttom are supposed to prevent that but it still happen even though its pretty heavy. Lastly, The stubs on the bottom are not even, so it moves up and down a little bit

We are slowly replacing our plastic and wooden cutting boards, and the price was right with this cutting board. I'm awarding it 5 stars because it looks great, but feel compelled to mention the feet on the bottom are a bit wobbly on our board. They're kind of made of a cheap hard plastic that don't grip the countertop--we can easily fix this by adding something to the feet to make it level.

Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it’s very heavy and scratch free. I’ve been using it now for over a month. It’s the best cutting board I’ve ever owned.

Good quality nice marble. Used it as a base beneath my cappuccino machine. Works well and l great.

Its slides on every surface you stand it on, so it slides all over the surface of wherever you stand it had to buy matting to stop it doing so
