Hillman 967777 Premium Outdoor Wood and Deck Screws, #9 x 2-1/2 inch, Rust Resistant Bronze for Exterior Use, T-25 drive, Bronze, 1/4 Keg, 2500 pcs

Build two raised gardens with enclosures using these screws. One was an 8'x16', another L-shaped 11' each side. Used a combination of 2x6 planks, as well as 2x2 lumber. The 2x2 was used as the permanent overall structure, posts and all, doubled up where needed, and the planks were bolt on so to speak. Kind of like those kits you see online, only better, sturdier, and far cheaper.As you can imagine, it took a LOT of wood. I went through three (3) 500 piece boxes.In that time, I had less than a handful of pieces split on me, and not a single piece that was part of the structure. Now I'm not saying there aren't better screws out there, but I know first hand these got the job done without issue for my need. There's nothing more frustrating than drilling into something, only for it to split on you. Especially with 2x2's.

This item seems to be very adequate butyears will tell.

Product was reasonable* price or at least comparable to similar products. ( * if anything is priced reasonably anymore) Did the job and quality seemed fine. Now I can only wait and see if these screws really are for out door projects and last as stated.

I couldn't day if these are the best deck screws or not. But I can say I used a while bucket of them on my porch deck and rebuilding my mother's deck. These are epoxy coated and appropriate for outdoor and pressure treated lumber. They come with and use a #27 torx bit. They are easy to work with and beat the heck out of the old galvanized square bit deck screws. The technology in the design I think is better too. They seem suck up and fasten the boards better, and are faster too because the torx has more angles to grab them with the bit. Less time and energy required. Yes I would buy and reccomend again. The more you buy the better per screw price.

I built 4 garden boxes with these. They worked well and seem to be lasting.

These are great screws, easy to use and re-use, based on your projects. I like how they sink, and very minimal on wood splitting based on their design. They are not cheap, but they are good quality. I've purchased many boxes over the last couple years.

Pretty good price for these.

Solid product came with a torx bit. Good value
