Works
Works well if you need a hanger and you have a red dot on your pistol. Could be less expensive considering this is only two hangers

Make the best use of the space you have
Four of my Remington 700 clones with night scopes took up half of my John Deere safe with those stupid factory gun racks, so I took them out and stacked them in the corner. Then I heard about Rifle Rods. With Rifle Rods, no guns are touching and they are so much easier to access. I have room on my shelf for extra night vision equipment with Handgun Hangers and Mag holders plus I have room for a couple more rifles I’ve had my eye on too!

Perfect space saver for your safe, and great way to store the gun
I've been looking at this item for some time - on a couple of different websites. Amazon had the best price (by a few bucks) so I purchased them here (I prefer to buy from Amazon when possible for almost everything). One initial thought is that these are a bit expensive for what they are... at about $5 each for a piece of wire, pre-bent and vinyl coated... but then again - they make them and I don't. They should profit from a good idea, and I like the design and simplicity. These hangers are great for freeing up space in your gun safe by allowing you to hang four handguns from a shelf. You could easily buy a second package of these and hang even more. The packaging suggests that you can use these rods for .22 caliber, but I personally would not try that. The rod is very close to that size and it's just a little too snug for my liking. It is also not recommended for anything over 10" in length, so if you have a monster revolver with an 8" barrel you should use caution. I think the weight of that size gun might be too much. The portion of the rod that goes into the barrel is only about 4 or 5 inches long. But for standard, compact, and sub-compacts, these are great! I have a couple of very heavy all stainless steel full frame guns hanging from these rods - and they support them perfectly.Another thing I like about storing the guns on these hangers is that the gun is in a horizontal position. If you use light oil to lubricate your guns after cleaning - this keeps that oil from running end-to-end or side-to-side during storage.UPDATE: After a suggestion from the manufacturer, I did a couple of tests with .22's. The key to hanging the .22 is to be sure the rod is going in and coming out straight. This might require adjusting the angle of the rod (they are quite easy to bend and adjust for angle) for some guns, but it works fine. I would still suggest that one use some caution when inserting/removing with at .22 to allow the rod to move as straight as possible.I will also add that it is very refreshing to see American Made products that perform well and are well concieved. The folks at Gun Storage Solutions really seem to take interest in how their products are performing in the field. I wish they offered their kickstand in a one or two pack. ;-)UPDATE #2: I have since ordered 4 more of these hangers, and when I need more I will order more. I consider these a necessity now in my safe.

They work as advertised
First off, for those who say these don't work, slide off the shelf or let the pistol hang to low, GET A GRIP and please refrain from buying any more guns. These are steel wire and will bend to meet your needs. The upper hook will bend up or down to accommodate the angle of the gun and length of the grip. The lower can be bent up or down also. You can also use a zip tie at the back around the top, then down under and around the lower loop. I have 16 of these mounted on one shelf and all but 4 have heavy guns hanging on them. THEY DO NOT MOVE unless you move them. They work great! If ya'll can't make them work for your needs, send them to me cause I've got more room and more to hang on them.

Good idea, with a few caveats
This is a great idea for conserving limited space in a gun safe. Hanging handguns underneath a shelf saves a lot of space and looks great and really helps with organization.Overall the product is simple, works well, and does exactly what I needed. But...As other reviews have indicated, the vinyl at one end of the hanger always has a flaw. Always. This appears to be where they used a wire hook to hold the hangers when they were dipped in the plastic / vinyl. This flaw is unfortunate, because it leaves an ugly area of exposed metal, and the vinyl is sometimes peeling off from that point. It's largely a cosmetic issue, and doesn't seem to have any effect on the product, and I don't think it will cause any problems with the handguns that are hanging off of the hook, but it's disappointing.Again, as other reviews have noted, these aren't great for use with a .22 handgun. While the hanger will barely fit in my Ruger Mark III when I tested it outside of my safe, it's a very close fit. When I attempted to hang the Ruger on the hook inside my safe, it didn't work. Getting the angle just right is difficult, and the rifling starts damaging the vinyl. I don't want to try removing the Ruger after a few months and find out that the vinyl has peeled off the hanger and is stuck in the barrel. So I won't be hanging any .22s on these hangers.Related to the above point, the vinyl is extremely soft--too soft in my opinion. Sliding the Ruger onto the hook started to tear up the coating. I think they need to improve the coating that they use to make it a little tougher or harder. At a retail price of about five bucks per hook, the quality of the plastic coating could be improved.Last note--the instructions indicate that each end of the hook has a different size. One end is for 1" shelves, the other end is for 5/8" - 7/8" shelves. So if you find that they are tight on your shelves, turn them around and try the other side.Update: The manufacturer read my review and responded below, which I really appreciate. It's a great product and works well, so I do highly recommend it.

Best thing there is to store handguns
I have 8 of those. I store all my handguns with them, except my desert eagle, which is bigger and heavier than some rifles. It works perfectly for small 22lr, long target pistol (7.5'' barrel browning), heavy revolvers (6'' barrel GP100) and normal, average, run-of the mill 9mm pistols, steel or polymer (CZ, Glock, 1911, etc...)The shape of this one is much better than the other models. The one that's kind of "Z" shaped doesn't work for long barrels like target pistols. With this model, I can hang 8 pistols under the shelf of my safe, which is about 16'' wide. Could probably hand more then that if I removed the trigger locks on the triggers, that's what takes so much space.A+ for this product.

They work great
They work great. I bent 2 of the brackets a little tighter because they slide over an opening in my safe. Those two are on the far right in my pic. The guns in the pic from last to right are a Norinco NP29(9mm), Sig Sauer Mosquito(.22lr), Chinese Type 54/TT-33(7.62x25) and a Glock 17(9mm). I plan on buying a second set for my other pistols/revolvers.

Perfect for a tight safe with shelves.
Works excellent on large caliber handguns. 9mm and .45 have no issues at all. Perfect price in my opinion.Doesn't work on any pellet gun sizes which still matters in larger gun safes. I still don't want to just leave them laying on a shelf.

Love them
this really cleaned up my gun cabinet. I relocated my top shelf in cabinet and second shelf to have better spacing. In all I didn't loose any space and all my pistols from .22lr to 44mag fit just right. I forgot it really looks great when you open that cabinet.

Great for storage
Great product. Sits nicely below my top shelf and I have three 9mm and one .45 holds them very well. Would definitely buy more for organization and ease.
