PERUVIAN HERB MaraSal - Extra Fine Gourmet Sea Salt from Maras, Peru 14 oz

There's a reason this product at the time I am writing this has all 5 star ratings. This stuff is GOOOOOOOD. No, salt is not just salt. This has more minerals and way less sodium content than table salt. Yet even with less sodium it tastes more like you think salt should taste and is "more" salty. The minerals are great for your health but also add such a good natural taste to this stuff it's nuts.Other table salts taste processed and metallic. This stuff tastes...the only good word I can come up with is natural. Like it's just so so so so good.

I did not know what to expect upon receiving my order of the Peruvian Herb MaraSal. I figured it was an ordinary salt, sea or not. However, that changed after a few uses in the regular and not so regular foods. It gave it to me, what I call a mild salt taste but ended in what you could describe as a sweetish finish. It accented all the food (so far) that I have added it to. Made it taste much better than ordinary free running salt (iodized salt is more metallic tasting too). Sea salts all seem to have their own unique taste and so does this one, except I prefer this Peruvian sea salt over anything I have used before. I heartily recommend this if you want to pick up a dish to another level.

Great salt! True to flavor.. just like what we get in Peru. This is a great purchase 10/10 would recommend.

This is the best salt on Amazon. I know your probably thinking, "Salt is salt, right?" Buy some of this salt, and you will be corrected. It have a good flavor and it supports a good cause. Do yourself a favor and buy a bag of this NOW.

This is my first ever Amazon review. I felt compelled to describe to others who may be on the fence about buying this salt that it was a great decision to purchase. I use it for everything. When cooking fish, chicken, steak, ground beef, vegetables, etc. This salt brings out the flavor in food! You won't be disappointed. Not to mention every time I sprinkle it on something I feel like Emeril!

Very flavourful

This is the BEST salt ever! A little goes a long way, and this may sound weird but my skin feels soft after I eat whatever I put it on.

Great place in Peru. Great salt from all the vendors. I bought this as “extra fine,” but I still need to run it through a salt mill to use it in most cooking situations. I bought it hoping not to need to do that. Some is ‘fine’ but other chunks are at least ‘medium’ grind.
