GREAT PRODUCT - UPS DELIVERY CONDITION TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!
Gold fish and Koi love this food. Unfortunately UPS box damaged enough to knock lid off the container and spill too much contents at bottom of box. USPS does a better job than this!

Totally wonderful and well balanced - Edit: Was TERRIBLY wrong, this food is poison
Edit: Disclaimer this is the original review all that follows before the update is only my first impressions, please read the update - I'm not sure what to say other than this is a dang good goldfish food, so far atleast. The blue color is a bit striking and outputting at first but honestly I've grown to like it. My fish loves this food and although he isn't very picky, on the account of him being a goldfish, this one seems to get a slightly more energetic response from him vs some other foods I've tried. I'll update you guys in a month or so (if I remember to :p) and I'll let everyone know how this food effected my fishes color, his health, the water quality, nitrate and ammonia levels, plant growth, and if it somehow effects ph, water ppm, or general or carbonate hardness. One month update: Okay, full update here. I 100% jumped the gun on my assumption of quality and that's my fault but I'm here to make that right.First off, the ingredients are terrible, somehow totally missed the flour right on the ingredients list. Second of all, it's too small. It was fine at first but as I got lower and lower into the container the flakes were just hilariously tiny. Could be damage from shipping but given as everyone buying this is getting it shipped that doesn't matter. My goldfish is 9 inches long and the literal powder is just not big enough for him. Now as to how it effected his health, I'd say not much. He lost a bit of weight and his, um, waste was a lot smaller and almost thread like. Blue poop and blue food can't be that good for health I'd guess. Water quality took a dive real quickly. The food has really high ash and muddied up the water. I have a 40 gallon tank and do daily water changes with tightly controlled parameters and 100 gallons worth of tank filtration (two hob filters and one internal filter with a canister on the way) and even with all that, the water clarity was still a problem. It didn't effect the ph but I do have a really good kh buffer with co2 injection so I'm not surprised on that. Plant health got a bit worse but the food isn't a guaranteed cause in this case. Hardness actually went up but that's not a big deal in my case. For all the aquarium nerds out there here are the specifics of the hardness changes: It added about 50 tds over the course of a week and continued to do this for all 4 weeks (this is with daily 25% water changes) Gh went up about 20ppm of calcium oxide and calcium carbonate combined and about 10ppm magnesium oxide over each week aswell.THE BIG problem for me was the NITRITE went UP from 0ppm to 10ppm!!! I've never ever ever had nitrite in my tank and I was shocked. I dosed with seachem stability to see if somehow the bio fitler just got messed up somehow and nope, still 10ppm nitrite after 3 days of this. I did a few test and finally realized it was the food. Dissolving a small piece of this food in distilled water gives high nitrite levels off the bat so it's literally fish poison. Idk what I expected from a 4 dollar thing of freaking flakes but it just looked nice and made some bold claims on the packaging so I had high hopes. If you've read this far then just know that this food is worse than aqueon flakes and it's right up there with tetra. Please, please, please get your goldie something of higher quality. I'd recommend newlife spectrum or northfin or hikari, and even better would be all of those with rotations and live greens fed every other day as well. Since removing the food and tossing it down the drain my fishie is doing better than ever. Sorry not sorry for the bad review cobalt, hope no one else is as gullible as me and buys this dribble.

Fishfood & refuge
Initial impression: The fish don't get excited over these huge flakes. They don't hurry to get it consumed. 95% of the flakes are gold colored, the rest a smokey blue. What that means is lost to me. I will use up the entire two pounds. Ask me in about 2 years.EDIT: Been a week of using this in my 150 gallon patio pond. The fish are enjoying the stuff now. The only real con is that it leaves an oily film on the water surface. BTW. Raccoons devastate my fish family (comets) about every 3 years, consuming every last one. I think I've finally solved the problem. I placed three very heavy 8x8x16" concrete construction blocks (two - holers) on the bottom of the pond, touching each other, with the holes forming two 24" long 'tunnels' where the fish have good protection from sun and predators. The blocks are too heavy for raccoons to move, and they can't reach very far into the tunnels to capture their fish dinner. I hope this does the trick.

Fish love it!
This seems quite a hit with our pond fish, but I have to handle it very carefully. Most of the flakes are large, but the more I dip into it, the more I break them up. I'm afraid by the time I get to the bottom, there will be no flakes, just heavy dust. That might be fine for the fish too. I'm being really careful with it.I like that it doesn't have food dyes in it and it's fish based. I think it's a very good product.

Good deal
Fish seem to like it, and it's a good price, but it doesn't look nice. Tan flakes alternate with bright blue flakes that look like nothing so much as house paint that feeled off of old siding. Even the fish say "What the hell is this supposed to resemble in nature?"

... (that live in them all year/all seasons) and they LOVE this food
I have a lot of goldfish in two man made outdoor ponds (that live in them all year/all seasons) and they LOVE this food. We also have painted turtles that have migrated to these man made ponds and the turtles LOVE it too. The goldfish and the turtles come swimming over to eat these flakes when they see me throw some in the water.

My fancy goldfish love this premium flake food
My fancy goldfish love this premium flake food. They are plump, healthy and bursting with color. As the fancy goldfish "expert" at my local aquarium shop told me would be the case, I have had no issues with my goldies experiencing constipation or swim bladder issues since switching to this food. Very pleased.
