A very high quality mount at a very low price
This mount is extremely well constructed. It feels solid - I wouldn't have expected a $20 mount to have an adjustable strut-based tension mechanism. It has full range of motion (within limits listed in the description). There are a few minor problems, however. All the machine screws used to attach the mount to the a VESA compliant monitor are far too long. I'm talking a good half inch too long, which means your monitor will be flopping around on the mount. They include plastic spacers to mitigate this - well, I'm assuming that's what they're for, since the spacers were never once mentioned in the instructions. However, even with the spacers, the machine screws were still too long. I had to stack 3 washers on each screw for the monitor to be secure. The mount itself that is secured to the wall uses 3 lag bolts and has a built-in level which was a bonus! No fiddling to get things perfectly straight. I drove the top two lag bolts in after pre-drilling their holes as instructed and used a cordless impact to drive them home. However, the bottom-most bolt is obstructed by the socket mount that the pin at the end of the arm pops into, making it impossible to drive the last lag bolt into place. To work around this, they included an adapter that allows you to use the provided allen wrench to drive the lag bolt in. Have fun spending 20 minutes and the extremely sore wrist by the time you finish. I just didn't both with the bottom lag bolt - the top two made the mount more than sturdy enough.I'd also say the range of forward (pull) motion is fairly limited at 15 inches, but aside from that, all other articulating parts work well and are very easily adjustable to get the monitor right where you want it.Not a bad deal for $20, not a bad deal at all. Just go down to Home Depot first and get some shorter screws in the correct thread pitch for your monitor.

Like it so well I bought another
I bought this to mount my radio and ham clock to so I can swing them out of the way when I need to use the printer. This thing is a beast well made and easy to install. I was worried about whether I had enough weight on it to keep it from snapping back up. The manual says the minimum weight is 6 pounds. I must have just made the weight requirement as I had to drop the tension to almost the lowest setting. It works great and holds the radio in whatever position I need. The install is pretty straight forward and they even include the socket for the mounting bolts. That was a pleasant surprise. I liked it so much I am replacing the one on my monitor next to the radio as it is too large for the space its in and this one will fit just right. For the price I am extremely happy with this purchase. I was really surprised by the quality of the arm. I have bought 20 dollar monitor mounts before and they were not even as close to as nice as this one.

I can't believe this is such a low price!
I hung a 32" LED TV with it, after all adjustments were done nearly everything works very well. It took me about 20 mins to hang it and another 10 to adjust everything correctly. A few hints though to help with everything: 1) make sure whatever you're hanging meets both the minimum and maximum requirements cause the arm won't work correctly otherwise. 2) my TV was on the lighter side so I just had my wife try to pull it down every few adjustments to see if it was correct. 3) only adjust the tension by 1 full turn at most before checking, it might take a few more minutes to find the sweet spot, but you won't be cranking the hex wrench back and forth getting mad at it not working. 4) this is not a super high end adjustable arm, but it has a ton of great features for the price, try to remember the quality before you go hammering away at something and breaking it. Pretty sturdy, not unbreakable though.

Cheap! Amazing quality! Perfect!
While installing it your self there is some difficulty.. if you’ve never installed a mount before then I would recommend doing a lot of research before buying this. Other then that it’s a 10/10 mount and I love it. Took some work to get up but in the end it was perfect for my gaming needs!!!

This is awesome, effortless raising, lowering and positioning - and it holds that height perfectly.
Very happy with this purchase. We've got it holding up a small TV in front of our treadmill. Posture is important when running, head looking straight forward, not up and not down. My wife, daughter and I are all different heights - so watching TV while training required the TV to be at different heights for each of us. My daughter runs with it at it's lowest point, my wife a little above the minimum and myself about halfway. We can each run with the TV easily set to the proper height to keep us looking forward with proper running form, excellent. When we aren't using the treadmill, we can raise the TV all the way up to the highest range and then angle it into the room as a regular TV or display for photos or whatever. The gas piston at first raised the small TV up to the highest level, it took a lot of cranking and cranking the tension adjustment but eventually got to a point that balanced the TV perfectly. We can just grab the TV, raise or lower it with perfect ease and it just stays right there - absolutely perfect. The range of motion is excellent. It can raise or lower, it can tilt, it can rotate through a half circle and the TV itself can spin between portrait and landscape orientation. Way more range of motion than most TV mounts - extremely happy I got this instead of other mounts.Ok, that's pretty positive - but it can't be all good right? Right. Here's the issues as I see them;1. The cable routing loop on the part that screws into the wall is thin and fragile, mine arrived broken. The base was fine, but the fragile cable guide itself arrived broken. It's so thin, it's likely break easily regardless.2. most mounts have a vesa plate to attach to the TV, which you then attach to the mount. This doesn't. You just screw the vesa mount on the end of the arm into the TV. It's not that hard just awkward to attach it to your TV. Minor issue, just a little annoyance - but once it's mounted you're done and don't have to do it again, so no big deal.

Better than the price would indicate
These are really well made. Ignore the crazy english translation problems on the box. The arm itself is well made and does in fact have a gas strut inside. They work great. For the reviewers that say they are too strong, note that they come from the factory with the lift tension set to max and you use an allen key to reduce the lift power until the monitor stays put. Also of note is that all the included hardware is pretty stout. They could have cheaped out on this but they didn't. Nice.
