This a a fabulous product!
Very light weight as it is an all aluminum construction but appears to be pretty stable. I have used it sitting in a reclining chair; width of the legs just fits with no room to spare but works fine otherwise. I have used it laying completely flat in bed with the computer tray table set at a pretty steep angle; perfect for watching movies or reading, a little less so for interacting with the keyboard. But notice that I said laying completely flat in bed....amazing! At any other angle in bed it is perfect. I did not get the version with an auxillary mouse shelf so I can not comment (prefer to use the built-in mouse pad).As I said, the stability is impressive and the weight even with my fairly big Dell laptop is one-hand manageable. I can not attest to the strength of the three leg joints since i am being careful as I move the table; but I am moving it many times a day with no mishaps so far.The only minor complaint is the retaining lip on which the computer sits is a bit shallow which doesn't quite engage my thick Dell laptop (with a very rounded front edge); this is only an issue at the most extreme near-vertical angle of the table (i.e., laying flat in bed). At any other angle it is quite adequate to retain the laptop securely. I think that if I put a few strips of anti-slip tape on the laptop table retatining lip then the problem will be solved. With any thinner laptop or tablet this would be a non-issue.Summary - Great concept, excellent execution, flat black finish is sexy, infinity adjustable table and legs, stable platform. Now if durability holds up I would say this is a perfect product. Thanks Amazon.

Durable
I have had this for 10 months now and I must say it is very very durable! More than I expected when I first got it. I don't handle it with much care and the joints still hold perfectly.I use it a lot for my bulky 15.6" laptop on a desk and on my bed and it's probably the best home accessory for a laptop I have purchased, the metal helps dissipate the heat nicely, unlike a desk or obviously your bed covers.Another good thing is that it makes me save space while positioned on my work desk which has a width of 23.6" (60cm), as this inclines the laptop on its 'desktop' position, there is less space taken horizontally on the desk, so I can work on papers in front of the laptop comfortably while keeping the laptop right in front of my eye sight. As for using it on bed, there is no other way to be as comfortable on a bed with a laptop than with this!Cons:1)This thing makes a lot of noise while you are moving the legs around (gives the feeling it's some cheap gadget, but it really isn't as its utility has been very helpful for me). It also makes noise while using it on bed, the joints make little squeals if you or someone else moves on the bed, you get used to it, it really isn't a terrible noise.2)I am a skinny guy, so using this on bed isn't a problem as I can fit it over me with no problems, someone bigger wouldn't find it too great to use on bed.3)I was very, very disappointed when I first got it to see that it didn't come with the perforations shown on the pictures, these would have helped even more on keeping the laptop cool. This is the reason why I give it 4 stars, I don't like these sort of surprises when buying online.

Collapsed within a year. Also, try finding warranty information.
UPDATE: November 22, 2015: Exactly one year and one day after I ordered this in November 2014, and 4 days before its first year of use was up (started the day of delivery - 4 days after I ordered it), one of the leg joints collapsed and the product is now useless for its intended purpose. One of the adjustable joints that the middle is pushed in to rotate and then let out to lock apparently just disintegrated internally, and it started rotating even though it was in the locked position (which hadn't been set to anything else since the first day I got it). I've never used it for anything except for reading normal sized books in bed at night, and 99% of those were the paperback versions, plus making pencil underlines under certain passages with no more pressure than it takes to do that, which isn't much. When I'm done, it's placed out of the way and untouched until the next evening. This was a great product before it collapsed after a year of very light use. My only complaint prior to that was that the entire thing creaked in all the joints with the slightest movement of the stand or the book. Annoying, but I solved 90% of that with a little WD-40 after a couple of months putting up with it. Then of course it later collapsed. One day the joint worked fine and the next it was useless. The manufacturer's blurb on the website says it's "durable." In my view, my experience does not fit that definition. I'm just glad I never used it for a laptop and had it collapse without warning. While, if one could find any warranty information (there is none in the booklet that came with it showing how to use it), the cost to box it up (which is an unusual size) and send it to the manufacturer (whether in the U.S. or in a foreign country) would be prohibitive in most folks minds, whether you did it yourself, or thought you could suffer the sticker shock of having UPS or FedX box and ship it. It seems a moot point. Try finding any warranty information. If you click on the website page for this product once you find the warranty info link, the only information is about the return policy which is about a month. If you click on the manufacturer's name on the product webpage, it takes you to the info in the prior sentence -- Amazon fulfills the order and the manufacturer is apparently a ghost.I reduced this to two stars from five because it lasted almost a year. Buy this product at your own risk, particularly if you plan to put a laptop on it.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I bought the "large" model. It's a great reading table for use sitting up in bed. It is wide enough so the legs fit comfortably on either side of your legs, and can be adjusted virtually anyway you want. It's all aluminum and very nicely made. The legs are very simple and easy to adjust, and it comes with a color sheet showing many different configurations and uses in actual photos of a person using it, accompanied with the degree leg settings for each leg in the particular position you like. The push-in button on the end of each leg (very easy to do) is marked in degrees for each leg adjustment. Just match each leg (identified as A, B, C, etc.) up to the degree settings next to the photo and you've got it. Being aluminum, the unit is very light and can be picked up with one hand as easily as you pick up a book. It's well made and sturdy, however I've never used it except as an on the bed reading table. Thus if you used it with the legs fully extended, it certainly seems to be common sense that you could put object(s) on it that would be heavy enough to raise the center of gravity to an unwise and unsafe point (primarily for the object). The weight of some of the items people describe as potential uses in the questions section seems a little scary. This, of course, is a perfect size for say a 13" laptop over the vented area, with plenty of room on the non-vented area to use a mouse, making the extra clamp-on mouse platform unnecessary to purchase.I've read comments that said this is not well made and difficult to push the adjustment mechanism and similar comments. Based on my experience, I wonder if they were talking about this particular item. For the $35 and free shipping I paid, it's a terrific buy. If I needed a second one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
