MusiclilyPro 11 Hole HSH Guitar Pickguard Strat Scratch Plate for Fender US/Mexico Standard Stratocaster Modern Style, 4Ply Tortoise Shell

I build guitars. I ordered this pickguard and installed it on the guitar that I had just finished. A picture is attached and as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So I'll let the picture do the talking. Musiclily is my goto place for guitar parts. They have never let me down!

I dont want to even rate one star but I have to. My husband got this today. He wanted something nice to add onto his Fender American Strat. Well this was awful. When I looked at it I thought it just had bubbling under the plastic covering that protects it from being scratched. No it was actually in the pickguard in several places. The holes for the pickups are very small. Unfortunately, can't return it because we need it for new pickups to be installed. Worried it won't even line up properly.

I ordered an OEM Fender one at the same time and I found no difference in quality other than the shielding on the back of this one wasn’t cut for the holes. Big deal. Absolutely worth it.

I don't normally add a review. But I thought this was worth mentioning. I purchased a HSH Fender Player Series about a month ago and didn't like the look of the black pickguard. The install wasn't all that bad, but I did need to widen the holes that mount the humbuckers. I ended up using a general purpose 7/64" drill bit to expand the holes. This fit the screws that came with the guitar perfectly. I think it looks good :) just a little work.

I had indicated that the pickguard had surface bubbles. As it turned out, there were two protective sheath and the bubbles were from the section one. Once I peeled the protective sheath, all look just fine.Will buy again for project guitars

Product is good! Seemed like pretty good quality. My problem was that the screw holes did not line up with my holes. Returned with no problems........

This is very good, really nice colour and is strong, with its 3-ply layers. Holes are in the right places and I had no problem to fit it. Note, however, if you are fitting to an old stratocaster you might find the switch hole is too close to the guitar edge and needs a small amount of "surgery" to remove a little wood from the edge of the guitar cavity, which took about 5 minutes with a sharp wood chisel. So it is not really a problem and the overall effect of the new pick guard is to lift the appearance of the guitar, as well as working very well.

You may be able to glean from my title this isn't my first replacement stratocaster scratchplate from Musiclily.In fact,I've two in the recent past. A white 3 ply HH and a white 3 ply SSS.I'm an inveterate tinkerer especially when it comes to Strats so when I decided I was going to build a new partscaster with an HSH configuration I knew straight away where I'd go for a 3 ply black HSH pickguard.Again, excellent quality and extremely wel made. This time there are no worries about the screw holes lining up. One was out for my Japanese Fender but it was advertised clearly to fit American and Mexican strats only so the fault, if there even is one, is all mine.The body is brand new so the holes are guaranteed to line up lol.If you have a strat that needs a pickguard you can never go wrong with one of these.

Screw placements for the pick guard are in the wrong place. Musically politely refunded the purchase price but accepted no return.

Excellent quality for the price and a good fit on my Squier

Ho voluto cambiare il pickguard nella mia strato, ho scelto questo bianco perla invecchiato perchè da un tocco vintage. Le misure sono perfette, si adattano all'originale, la mia è una fender mex 11 fori non so se si adatta anche alle american. All'interno della confezione si trovano anche le viti, ma io ho usato le originali. L'unica pecca è che i fori per gli humbucker sono più squadrati, mi spiego meglio hanno gli angoli arrotondati ma di meno quindi resta spazio e si vede l'interno del pickup, poi i buchi per le viti sempre degli alloggi humbucker sono più piccoli e ho dovuto allargarli prima di infilare la vite originale (queste non sono presenti nella confezione). Deduco che questo è un modello più vecchio e quindi i buchi e le viti sono diverse dalle player più recenti. Alla fine il risultato è soddisfacente ma dò 4 stelle per le imperfezioni.
