Dutch Oven Cover, Heavy Duty Dutch Oven Tote Bag (10")

This a top-notch case for Dutch Ovens. I did a careful comparison of the competitive cases out there. My decision was an easy one. There was no comparison! No similar case was even in the same league. The materials are far superior to those of any similar case. The fabric is heavy duty waxed cotton canvas, both durable and easy to clean not nylon which would melt away if exposed to heat. The zipper is also heavy duty and the padding is thick enough to support the case when it's empty, which facilitates inserting a heavy pot because you have to struggle to keep the case open while holding a heavy Dutch Oven -- with only two hands. Honestly, if I were to design a Dutch Oven carrying case, it would be very much like this one, with one exception. I'd have added a handle on the side of the bag. I think that would make it easier to carry. Carrying a heavy Dutch Oven top-up is awkward and harder on the back and shoulder than if was oriented side-up.The quality of this case compelled me to look into other Readywares products. They all look to be well thought out and made with the same quality materials and construction as this case. They're remarkably affordable too. I'm a fan!

It's heavy duty material and my cast iron kettle fits perfectly. I needed something to store it in while traveling in our motorhome. This item is perfect for that.

I already got a utility bag from Readywares for my fireside kit (hatchet, maul, knife, kindling, flint, etc.) so I was fully expecting something of quality. But this really took the cake, so well make, padded interior, high quality zipper, stitching looks perfect.A note on WATERPROOFING, waxed canvas is WATER RESISTANT, so if it gets wet and you leave it sit, it might get moldy. And if you leave cast iron in a damp bag it will rust. It might rust if you look at it funny. So adjust your expectations based on the stated specs of the product and common sense, I guess?

I just received this about a week ago and it is nice looking and seem very durable. I have a 14in 10qt dutch oven. It fits nice and snug when the lid is on like normal. However if you have that same size and want to put the lid on the bottom (as is common to do to protect the case from the pointy legs of the oven) then it will not fit. Only if you really force the zipper at the risk of damaging the case. I wish I would have known this. So I have a towel and magazine on the bottom to allow some protection from the legs and that does work.

Bought this for my new Lodge 12" 8qt dutch oven. Fits like a glove and is way more durable than the cheap storage bag I once bought at a big box store. This is my second Readywares Dutch Oven Cover. My first one was a 14" and it too was just as durable. I sometimes take a lodge dutch oven on camping trips and these storage bags protect them well.
