UPDATE: SUPERIOR PRODUCT! It is still working and doing a great job! I run this machine hard for hours, daily, while I am at work (5-8 hrs) and often throughout the evening. To circumvent the 2-hr timer so the Maxine would run constantly, I removed the timer’s knob, used needle nosed pliers to to turn the timer dial and angled the pliers inside the dial which prevented the timer from turning. Rating changed to 5 stars because of its lasting functionality and durability.My boss had a (Ecoquest) Living Air Classic XL-15 that was amazing. I thought I'd shop for one for personal use in my home to eliminate smoke odors. WOW...then I saw the price of the Living Air XL-15 and it was way more than I was willing to spend. Don't get me wrong, the Living Air XL-15 is worth every penny. It does an amazing job of ridding every single odor from your home, car, basement etc... and it leaves a fresh clean smelling atmosphere.... and I highly recommend it to those who have from $300 - $500+ to spend. I just don't have that kind of money available to spend. So I shopped around. I read the reviews and did my homework on the output levels of negative ions and etc... that make an ozone generator one of quality. Enerzen had high ratings and seemed to fit the bill according to the spec.s I received it and put it to use. I love it! The housing is sturdy. It works well and covers the area it advertises that it does. I placed it in the basement of my three story townhouse. It cleaned the air in the basement, on the first level and extended to the 2nd story also.... of course, its affect was not as strong on the 2nd story which was farthest away from the unit. The solution to that was that, later, I placed the unit on the 1st story of the house to thoroughly hit the 2nd story. One thing I wish I thought about prior to buying was that this has a timer and only allows the machine to run for 2 hours at a time. I didn't want to have to be at home to run the generator. When I borrowed my boss's living air generator, I would turn it on and let it run all day while I was at work. When I arrived home, I would turn it off and crack or open the windows to ventillate the ozone which I am told you should do - - for health reasons you should not sit in the room/area in which you will come into direct contact with the ozone generated air. Because of the timer and the fact I can only run it for two hours at time, I resorted to sitting it in the basement and shutting the door to let it clean that specific area. After two hours I run down and reset the machine for another two hours. I do the same for the 1st and second levels. I run the generator in specific rooms now that are shut off from where I am spending time, which is a slight inconvenience, but other than that I am very happy with the generator and its performance.

This air purification system is an answer to many prayers! We own a 1951 house in Florida that was a rental for 11+ years before we bought it. The roof was leaky, so we replaced it. The house smelled musty in the breezeway & kitchen area. We did a mold test, & it had mold spores (most common mold). We considered hiring a company to purify the air & kill the spores at who knows how much ??$$until I found this Enerzen machine on Amazon. The reviews were so good that I thought it was worth a try. We also have 3 dogs & had pet odors mainly in the living room. Furthermore, my elderly father lives with us, & his hygiene is poor, & he uses a urine cup in his bed room. His room never smelled clean even with fabreeze and cleaning! My house is approx. 1400 sq ft, so the bathroom smells into the living room due to my father. We put in a new à/c heating & central air unit with a Remi Halo unit (ultra violent air cleaning system for odors & bacteria), but it didn't help with any of the odors. I was considering moving until we used the Enerzen. We have used it 4x now (with in 2 months). The first time we used it in dad's room for 20 mins. It cleaned the air in the entire house! The second time we used it in the attic on the right side of our house for 40 minutes. It left the attic smelling like pine slightly! The attic previously smelled a little musty. The musty smell returned to our breezeway. The third time we used it in the breezeway for approx. 30 mins. No musty smell remained. Our house is shaped like the letter u, so today we ran it for the 4th time (30 min.s) in the attic on the left side of our house. We returned to a slight pine smell in the attic! My house smells clean!!! Praise Jesus!!! I know we will still need to use it occasionally due to new odor causing events (dad & dogs), but I know for certain that I can purify the air as life happens! This machine is so effective, that I want to buy another one because it is affordable $69 approx. & valuable - peace of mind, & I don't need to move!!! PRICELESS!
