Very limited fit
I'm revising my review after a couple more months' use. This can be a great chain keeper IF it fits your crankset and chainring perfectly. Of course, you're not going to know until you actually install it and ride on it for a while. The problem with mine was that the crank spider bumped into the chain keeper, which forced me to raise it up. The sides of the chain keeper kept the chain on during shifting, but on bumpy terrain, it would pop off, due to the gap above the chain. Then the chain would fall to the inside of the crankset, becoming completely hopelessly lodged there, without using an allen key.I tried every possible angle with the chain keeper, but there was absolutely no way to minimize the gap above the chain while preventing the keeper from bumping into the spider. It is too narrow to do that on my SRAM GXP crank with a 32T chainring. Will have to try something else now. I really like the rugged and adjustable design on the Paul, but it's just too limited to fit many bikes.

Didn't work on my 1996 Klein
Tried to run a 1x8 speed on my old Klein and needed this device to keep the chain from falling off.Maybe the 8 speed chain is too wide, but if the chain started to jump, it would bind between the chainring and this chain keep and all of a sudden I was in a real world of trouble because the crank would completely lock up.Luckily I had hex wrenches on me, so I just took the thing off.I really wish this would have worked. The build quality is very good, but just something dimensionally wrong for my application anyway. Maybe it is OK for 9 speed drivetrains.I ended up doing a full SRAM XX1 set up I got so frustrated. But hey, it definitely works now!!

Easy Solution
Had a bike shop purchased $500 bike with a single cog crank on the front. After a couple hundred miles the chain would slip off the cog and fall due to stretching. Common occurrence. This chain keeper fixed the issue. It took some time to adjust it so that it held the chain without any rubbing or noise. Works as described. It is important that you measure your seat post tubing before purchase. I prefer wrapping a string around it, pinching it, and then measuring the string in CM.

Chain keeper? Chain keeper!
I used to have a bash guard, but my chain ring was never in danger. Now my chain is keepin' so hard, and everybody loves Paul.
