Encontré el autor después de haber visto una serie inspirada en sus libros llamada "historias horribles" (muy graciosa por cierto) y decidí investigar más al respecto. Será una desventaja para aquellos que no saben inglés pero una gran ventaja para quiénes deseen aprender o ya lo dominan. Los datos son muy interesantes y humorísticos. Aprendes mientras te divierte y fascina acerca de las curiosidades de la cultura griega y los grandes personajes e historias relacionados a esta. Un libro definitivamente para niños o para adultos que buscan saber de la cultura griega de manera más simplificada y clara. Fue un placer leerlo y una tristeza terminarlo. Afortunadamente el autor maneja muchos mas libros para leer. Definitivamente te inspira a saber más. La única desventaja que no me pareció adecuada es que al menos en esta edición Kindle (desconozco si ocurre lo mismo en formato impreso o en otros libros) no cuenta con bibliografía.

l love everything about Horrible Histories - to engage a 9 year old boy with history is a fantastic thing and Horrible Histories make that happen. This was a great book to add some interesting facts to my son's ancient Greek homework over the last few months.We concentrated on the main facts and then as soon as he shows signs of boredom, I suggest picking some ghastly facts out of this book to include in the homework so we always end on a happy note!

My son loves these books. He is learning about Greek history at school at the moment so some of these snippets will help but even without that it would be a great read and very informative.

As a teacher I absolutely love the whole horrible histories series. Children always love them and are engaged with the funny style of the books. The information is sometimes quite complex but is written in a way that children get and can relate to. It is comprehensive and covers a range of information. Whenever I am about to teach a new history topic I get hold of the horrible history!
