My niece and I have started carving stamps. I'm the one doing the noodly sharp stuff, but I started carving quite young so I'm showing her a bit about how to be safe, carve away from oneself, be constantly aware of both hands, etc.Re: Washability -- Serious scrapbooker stamp pads are so indelibly pigmented now that they can take days to fade from skin & weeks to fade from nails. These are VASTLY more washable than those, but I wouldn't mash them into a light-colored sofa. These are a perfect balance of actually working while not being impossible to remove from fingertips or a somewhat porous work surface.Re: Size -- the sponge is elevated from the base, so you can just pat it on a stamp that's too large to be pressed into it. That also permits the application of multiple colors to a stamp. And at this price, I'm not as concerned about another color ending up on a pad when doing multiple colors as I would be with scrapbooking ink pads.Very happy, will buy again when these are used up.

After seeing that the covers say good for fabric, I did a test. I blotted a white wash cloth on the green ink pad and then put the wash cloth through a washing machine cycle, detergent and all. The wash cloth is still green. Less than what it was, but still distinctly green. Do not buy if you are looking for ink pads that won't stain clothes.

Work beautifully. However, I am confused about weather they are actually washable or not. They are listed as washable but the actual ink pads say they are meant for paper, wood, or fabric. How can washable ink pads be used for fabric? Four stars instead of five because of the confusion.

The colors are great, and they wash easily. However if u are looking for detail for finger prints baby handprints or foot prints; keep looking. It’s kind of a gel ink and prints kind of clumpy/blotchy. So you won’t get details of all the unique lines and wrinkles in a thumb or finger print. I don’t know how these will work for stamps or other crafts. I was wanting to do prints of my babies feet and hands and was disappointed these wouldn’t work. I waited to long to return them so decided to keep them in my toddler craft box for some other play time.

I bought these to use for art journaling with girl scouts. The pads are raised above the container which makes them usable for back grounds. Here is a picture of them plain and with a water wash. The colorbox pad is clearly superior even tho it is old and we'll used. it was also 6x more expensive. These were superior to the distress inks. they go on a bit splotchy butblend really well. Worked beautifully with a rubber stamp but so-so with an old foam stamp that in all fairness had dried paint on it and wasn't a fair test. Best stamp pad out there? No. Great value for money? Oh heck yes.

I ordered these for a center for my classroom. The stamps have worked well. This has a great variety of colors. My only complaint is that the lids do not click on. They just sit on top of the ink pad. So, it is so easily for the lid to fall back off. Unless they are stored just right, they are going to dry. I have had to add some water and more ink to some of mine because the lids had fallen off.

Was a little hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews but so far they have worked great. None of them came damaged or cracked. I haven't used every color yet but the ones I have, have worked well. They are the perfect size for newborn feet- once he keeps growing, you'd need to get half the foot then the other half (probably great for fingers though!). The ink came off easily with a normal baby wipe. Tip: if using for infant crafts, look up ideas on Pinterest for each holiday! We made pumpkins with his footprints!

Ink seems super dry. I’ve gotten a few decent stamps out of them and then they stop working. Came in individual wrapping and small box. Just disappointed in quality
