Dual sim Card Reader Flex Cable + sim Card Tray Slot Holder for IphoneXR Black

My iPhone XR had smashed screen, replaced screen, but sim card reader still didnt work. My SIM worked in other phones. Local guy tried swapping sim reader from another broken XR, but reader still didnt work. I feared it was the main board. He later said bad SIM reader is a known issue after a XR gets smashed, got me thinking. I decided to try this as it has 2 readers and I thought maybe it uses different pins on the main board and sure enough - worked great! Solved my problem! Btw when you take apart phone, you dont need to unplug any other cables except for the sim reader cable, you can gently remove screws under the other cables as you work.

I was able to turn my iPhone XR into a dual SIM card phone. I took it to a cell phone repair shop and the technician confirmed it was a plug and play swap - no soldering. He charged me $65 for labor and it took him 45 minutes. Then I took the SIM card out of my work phone, popped it in along with personal SIM and now I only have to carry one phone instead of two. It’s that simple.

I rated the easy-to-use low because it was not. I had to pay $45 for a repairman to replace mine. It is working as expected. Hopefully will work for the time of the device!

Did not work

My phone finally works again! After hours of frustrating troubleshooting of “No SIM” messages I finally deduced that the SIM card reader was bad. This part was a direct replacement for my faulty OEM card reader and works even though I only use one card in it. Replacement was incredibly easy. Thanks!

Extremely fast easy to replace (5 minutes) The new SIM card reader works great. This kit also included 2 different coloured sim card trey (black and silver) which is nice. I do own a silver phone but the black trey looks pretty cool. Overall I couldn't be happier with this product. I do have some experience with iPhone repairs but tbh pretty much everyone could do this.

Works!! I received it today, and had it installed. So far it’s working. (See the double signal bars). What a relief that I don’t have to carry an extra phone for the business.
