ExpressPaint Aerosol - Automotive Touch-up Paint for Ford F-Series, F150, F250, F350 - Ruby Red Metallic Tricoat RR - Color + Clearcoat Package

Used to paint four backer plates that go in the door jam of a project car. Initial test panel looked good. So sprayed the backer plates and the color was was off (close but not a match). I think I needed to apply an addition mid coat for a better match. Fast forward ~1yr. The paint was stored in a temperature controlled shop. After setting for so long I did shake to cans for 15-20 minutes. Went to paint a grille section and the base color went on with no problems. However, the mid coat had little color and no metal flake. The mid coat is basically just a clear coat now. I am a little surprised that the pigments and metal flake have separated and can not be remixed. My expectations may be to high but I have used many cans of spray paint that were older than this with no problems. Very poor value considering what little I painted.

I used this to paint a grab handle out of a 1999 F150 and install it on my 1996 Bronco. It looks like factory. Great color match! Follow the directions for each product and your project will turn out right.

Perfect match easy to follow instructions for a first timer

I was trying to paint a shell of a grille for my truck and the base coat went on great and then the top also went on great. I went to put the clear coat on and the can stuck open and sprayed and bunch of water or something out and made the paint bubble up and ruin. So I bought another kit and took all the paint off sanded it back down to start over and half way through the second base coat can its just runs out of air and starts sprays out paint in drops. Wasnt even enough to finsh the grille. The top coat was even charged straight out of the box. So I ended up with a grille that's totally wasted and out quite a bit of money.

Went on alittle darker but close
