A MUST HAVE!!!
Although I have read the works of Patrick McCarthy and Erle Montaigue, I was often left with more questions than when I started. While it does help to have a basic/general TCM knowledge prior to reading this book, Mr. Cardwell offers a step-by-step breakdown to simplify one's understanding of pressure point striking. Citing reference material from both Eastern and Western methodologies, Mr. Cardwell delivers a comprehensive analysis designed to streamline tactics and strategy for pressure point applications. There are not many meridian pictures. Therefore I recommend having a meridian chart/diagram alongside as you read. Also, Mr. Cardwell does mention in the beginning of his book to begin on part 2 if you are not familiar with TCM. I strongly recommend the reader follow his advice.

great book
This book is similar to other books on pressure point fighting. It shows the common ground in the different styles with a variation that makes them all so different. That's just my observation. If anyone sees differently, feel free to post your observation. I don't know everything, but I love reading and studying the martial arts for discipline, fitness and self defense.

Discusses common sense techniques, not sure anything new is revealed
Kick a guy in the crotch, poke him in the eye, neck hit. Basically it discusses techniques that are common sense.

Interesting. Informative. A bit complex for the layperson.
Interesting. Too bad Trias books are not easily available these days, for the katas.
