Love this, I have wanted this in the NKJV for a long time.
I just received my Dake NKJV and my biggest concern was waiting to see the print size. I am glad to say I am pleased. It is comparable to, and I think easier to read than the standard size Life Application Bibles as a point of comparison. Both the text and the notes seem more darkly printed or bolder than what I see in my Life Application Bible. Therefore I can read the text and notes more easily than in a standard size Life Application Bible. Also it is much easier to read than the standard size KJV Dake I have been using. I have to use a magnifying glass to comfortably read the notes in that one, while here I can read the notes with my glasses (strong trifocals here) without it. For those wondering, the font is not as large as in the large print KJV Dake. The font on both the text and notes I believe are 10 point in that large print version. In the NKJV here, the text is I believe a 9 point and the notes are a 7 point. So if you need the large 10 point font, this may or may not work for you depending on your eye sight. This Bible is large I admit, four pounds and very thick, similar in thickness to the large print KJV Dake (which weighs over five pounds) but not as wide or tall. The leather soft man made cover, which comes in burgundy or black, leather is not available, is more flexible than the bonded leather on the KJV Dakes. I will have to see how it holds up.The note and text layout is different as well, two columns of bible text on the top half of each page and three columns of notes on the bottom half. Also the notes at the bottom are organized to each chapter and verse as opposed to the KJV Dake which are listed by letter only, A to Z, which on some pages of the old style in the KJV can have multiple A's and B's tied to multiple verses on the page. With the new layout therefore, it is easier to find the notes for a particular verse if you are trying to quickly find information on it. You just look for a chapter and verse in the bottom notes.1. I am so glad this NKJV style is now available which is my preferred reading Bible version.2. I find it so much easier to read than the print size on the old standard size KJV Dake.3. I prefer this new layout. I think it will prove easier to study with.4. I find the paper better than I had expected, brighter white, and thicker than say the Life Application hard backs, and much better than the KJV Dake standard size hardback I own. Ghosting is there but tolerable, and better than many.5. If I find the text block is sewn and not glued I may have it rebound in leather. I like it that much, yes.6. Over all a good job by Dake Bible publishers.I hope this is helpful, be blessed!

One of the best Bible’s there is besides Thomson Chain, Chuck Smith’s &Open Bible
I think this is one of the best Bibles I’ve ever seen I think everybody who is into major Bible studying, should have this Bible! It is so amazing it has every kind of helps you can imagine and you don’t have to dig back-and-forth from front to back to find it all it’s right within the page it’s amazing it’s like having a strong‘s concordance within the page I just wish there was a little bit more commentary like the Chuck Smith Bible but everything he says lines up with the Chuck Smith Bible as well and the David Jeremiah Bible with their commentaries. The cover is a beautiful soft leather like cover that I don’t want to get wrecked so I’m going to make a cover for it to protect it. it’s beautiful and it’s extra wide. I just wish there was a little bit of room on the margin to write but you have a much larger top margin than normal so I write up there. I showed it to my friend who uses the Thompson chain Bible which is another excellent bible, and she was really impressed. A lady friend of mine said her passed away husband lived out of this bible. She is 83. So it’s been around for some time. He’s an amazing bible answer man on YouTube videos. I love it ! And for me it’s expensive but I saved for it. For the average person a very fair good price excellent price for all that you get!

Make SURE you buy your DAKE Bible HERE!!
The Dake Bible arrived in 2 days because it was eligible for Prime. It was black leather and in perfect condition. I believe it was only $53.00, which is way lower than I could get it anywhere else. I bought my first Dake in 1985 and back then it only came in the KJV with ALL black print. I fell in love with this particular bible because it had over 500,000 references in it with a COMPLETE concordance and a summary after EVERY book. This had been about my 6th study-bible and it was so easy to go right to the other verses that backed up the verse you are reading. I remember going to a revival in '86 where the young preacher couldn't explain a part of what he was preaching about - it was on FAITH. One of the examples he gave was the woman who had the "issue of blood" for years and was healed instantly when she had touched Jesus' robe. The young man preaching had paused to say "it was an issue of blood that the woman had for many, many years. Now I don't know what what the "issue of blood" was, but apparently this woman had bled continuosly for all those years". I had given a Dake Bible to my best friend and study partner as a gift, and we were following along the sermon in our bibles. We came up with the answer to what it meant in less than a minute due to all of the cross-references Finis Dake had included. When we got home we started checking out our other bibles such as the Scofield & Thompson Chain for example, and none of them had the references to explain what it was - only our trusty Dakes. I ended up giving about 10 Dakes away in the next year or two to my friends and family. They were $79 a pop back then. When I came to FL, I had somehow misplaced the boxes that had all my Bibles & Reference books/material. I figured it was in storage in Ohio. I really missed my collection, but felt empty without my Dake. I went out and bought a Scofield Study Bible.I finally got my sons to go through everything in storage and they couldn't find any of them, so apparently the boxes were mixed in with the ones going to GoodWill. I went on line to Dake.com and they were still $79 & with shipping and taxes it came to $97. Then I had the beiiliant thought to check Amazon and they had all the Dake products I was going to order from Dake.com, but with Amazon Prime I had not only the deep discounts on all the books AND free 2-day delivery! The great thing about Dake NOW is that it is ALSO available in the NKJV and the RED LETTER editions! That's the one I purchased and the ONLY exception is that you can't choose your bible color - I had purchased mine in a Burgundy leather cover. Mine came in Black leather. There were no blemishes and it was the same quality as if I had ordered direct from Dake.com. I took it (the next day) to a Christian Book store to have my name printed in gold letters on the cover. NO COMPLAINTS HERE!
