Neilsen Bolt Cutter 30 inch Red Heavy Duty CT0297

I was a bit worried about not spending a lot on buying this cutter but it works well and is strong. Cuts steel.

Bought this to remove an old rusted padlock. Cut through the padlock like butter with minimum effort. I would recommend that when choosing bolt cutters to always go for ones with long handles as these require less strength to cut. This pair worked a treat and was also good value for the money for occasional use.

These are very very heavy but everything I’ve tried to cut through it has done with ease. I’ve not gone above 5mm or so yet though but it seems like a strong sturdy bit of kit that will last forever with occasional metal cutting

Did cut into padlock but didn't cut through it, about a 1/3rd. Then used a hack saw to cut through another 1/3 and then re used the bolt cutters to finally cut through the final 1/3rd to then remove the padlock. All in all they helped but without the use of the hacksaw they would not have removed the padlock.

Take my advice heat what you are cutting red hot with a blow torch before you cut. Takes all the effort out of it
