My son would sleep with his lamp on all night. I wanted to find something that was still bright but not as bright as a lamp. This night light is perfect and lights up the room very well but still not over powering. It has two setting low and night and both are perfect!

Edit Aug. 31, 2024,Absolutely no change in brightness or quality. These GE plug in ultra bright lights have been on for almost 2 years straight. These GE Ultrabright LED night lights definitely deserve one, though.We moved into an older house that doesn't get a lot of light in the front rooms during the day, so you can imagine that it gets extremely dark at night. The hallway gets very little ambient light during the day from the other rooms. There are not a lot of electrical plugs and the hallway light is only accessible from the middle of the hallway. We definitely needed a good light source for the hallway and one for the living room for when we needed to walk around at night.I did a lot of research and buying of different auto shut off and off/on night lights that were too low light. They were ok for other uses but not for the hallway or living room.I finally found these night lights and bought them on November 2, 2021 and it is now October 5, 2022. These lights are still going strong with absolutely no issues. We use one in the hallway that I at first would turn off during the day. I gave up on that after a few days and just leave it on all day, every day, since there's nothing more "fun" than coming out of my office after dark while working from home into a pitch black hallway/house. This allows us to not ever have to turn on the hallway light unless we need a super bright light on, or have company over (only so they don't think we live in constant dimness, even though we do lol. We like it like that, ok??).The other night light is in the living room closest to a bay window and is on auto shut off mode. This one gets enough light to shut off during the day, plus it gives off a bright enough light at night where I can easily see to walk around and don't have to turn on the lamps.At first I thought they were too bright. I will say that if you are planning to use one of these in your bedroom or to have one in the hallway with the doors open, these might not be the lights for you. They are BRIGHT without being overhead light bright. We leave our bedroom door open, which took some getting used to for my partner. I, however, am not a fan of the pitch black dark, so I love them.I know nothing about how much electricity these use, though I would be interested in finding out. I don't think it's listed here on the page. However, our 1930s 3 bedroom home has the (updated) central air on blast throughout the summer and the heat goes strong throughout the winter but our electric bill is around what we expect. Just know that these lights are excellent if you're looking for BRIGHT soft white lighting at an excellent cost.

If you're looking for a night light, this may be too much! I needed more than just a night light for a kitten that was spending time in the bathroom so her and my dog could "meet" through smelling each other, but with the door as a barrier and i didn't want to leave her in the dark. I put the second one in the kitchen and it's about the same amount of light that the stove hood gives off. Love that it is adjustable so I can dim it if needed too! It has been perfect for both the kitchen and the kitten! The kitten and my rottie are best friends now btw!

This bright light uses less than 1 watt of electricity. I confirmed the wattage use by putting in on a watt meter. It is a great night light for a larger area. The device itself is very light, with an all plastic covering. It does not adjust to a lower brightness. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is that the light itself is harsh, and like some other LED's I've encountered, slightly irritating to the eye if looked at directly.

I got this light so I could go into my garage without flipping on the lights. It does the job on low. This light is INCREDIBLY bright on the high setting.

Our old traditional night light wasn't putting off enough light to navigate safely through the laundry room. I wanted a brighter light, and tried one from a big box store that kept flashing when you turned off the overhead light. I saw this one and decided to try it instead. While the big box version gave off whiter-colored light, this one is a less-intense yellower light, and didn't flash like the other one. It stays cool to the touch, and lights up the area so well that many times we don't have to use an overhead light at all for small things. Being LED, it also has the benefit of lower cost to operate.In short, if ever I need another bright night light, this will be my first go-to solution now.

Terrific little light used daily to assist stroke patient’s safe nightly restroom trips. The light emitted is not concentrated in one small area. The light is spread widely so only one light is enough for a 14 x 14 bedroom. Can efficiently light an entire 15’ hallway. Would buy again.

It's a 2 pack, but neither one has a sensor that works in auto mode. Plug into outlet and sensor can be on top or bottom. Doesn't matter as stays on most of the time with any other lighting. Only turns off in bright sunlight. The lights are very bright, which is nice, but if you use in outlet higher on wall, you'll be blinded. They should have a tilt feature. I would have returned them, but as so inexpensive, didn't bother.

Easily the best night light for my bathroom. I hate leaving my bathroom completely dark and this works very well, there's no need to turn on the main light at night when you go to the washroom since this will be bright enough to do your business. It lasts extremely long as well compared to any other night light.

Very bright for night lights! I put mine in the bathrooms & we don't need to turn on any other light when using. It even lights up the hallway.
