This battery lasts nearly 3 times longer compared to the original battery supplied with the camcorder.But it is over twice the size and adds quite a bit of weight to it.If you want your camcorder to be able to to be turned on for longer then this is exactly what you need, great value for money at a fraction of the cost of a genuine panasonic battery, lasts a lot longer then the genuine batteries and also alot cheaper.The downside is the size and added weight, but to me the benefits outweigh that by a mile.If you are looking at this because you want a new / spare battery then buy it already, you will not be disappointed.

Rather big interferes with the view finder, used once and it did not last very long at all and went out with a clonk no warning thought I had broken the camera. just hope that it gets better after the next charge so please think again about buying this item

I ordered a VW-VBN260 back-up battery, as recommended in the handbook, for my new Panasonic X900M. I was somewhat taken aback to be sent a VW-VBN390 by the supplier. My first instinct was that this was the wrong battery - being much larger - and that it was impossible to close the LCD monitor with the battery in place. I contacted the supplier who responded immediately to say that this battery was far superior to the 260 (much more powerful) and that it definitely would fit the camera. On my second try, I realised that it fits in a way such that the battery extends beyond the retracted viewfinder - which seems counter-intuitive. One other reviewer commented that this caused a problem with using the viewfinder, but I haven't found it so - although it may be for someone who wears glasses. Full marks for a really powerful battery - and to the supplier for their prompt and helpful response!

The description was that this is suitable for Panasonic Camcorder HDC-SD600. It does not fit this camcorder, I just could not use it. Please make sure that this fits your camcorder before you buy it.

These batteries work OK but they lose their charge quite quickly when not in use. I bought two together and one is losing charge at a rate of an hours worth per week; the other one at much slower rate. They are loose in the camera and a sharp movement can disconnect them meaning you loose whatever was being filmed.

Purchased this for use the Panasonic HC-X920. The standard battery 1250mAh which is flush with the camcorder may only last 30-40mins. Already have a larger battery 2500Ah which gives over an hours life, but as Panasonic don't provide a stand alone charger for the battery, I wanted another spare. This battery is huge, it sticks out about an inch past the end of the view finder. Its not really a problem in use, but makes the camcorder a tight fit in our storage bag which is compact.After fully charging the battery the camcorder screen reckoned nearly 5 hours of battery life! You know that you never get the full amount, partly for me as I tend to record short video clips less than 2 minutes and leave the camcorder on, perhaps closing the screen window to put it into standby mode if it wont be used for more than 5 mins. I do this with all batteries and was disappointed to only get about 1.5 hours of record time from the battery. (None of the recorded video was watched in the camcorder and no photos were taken.) Comparing the power of the relative batteries the time is perhaps what you'd expect, so just don't go too much on the initial battery life claim. The camcorder suddenly gave a low battery warning and shut down. This could be a problem with the camcorder, but I've not noticed this with other batteries where the time remaining slowly drops so you know how much time you have left. From flat the battery took 4+ hours to recharge!This battery also wobbles a little when connected, which I don't find with the other batteries, although it doesn't seem to disconnect in use.

Just recently purchased this battery and for the price it is excellent value for money,rechargeable and being lithium and having a 2 year warranty, l know its twice the size and a bit over the size of the original battery that came with the camcorder but you soon get used to using it and also gives a longer recording time thats a plus and great product.regards P.B.

I purchased this long run batterey for my new Panasonic HC920X video camera. The battery that comes with this video camera is only small and lasts around forty mins so I needed a better battery than that. I videoed a gig that lasted three and a half hours using only the long life battery. It performed brilliantly and still had plenty of life left in it. The video camera showed that it would last FIVE HOURS which is perfect for what I was doing. I also used the zoom quite a bit in order to test the battery power, and it just took it in its stride. It truly is a long life battery and I recommend it without hesitation.

Adepte des voyages en presque autonomie complète, je recherchais une batterie de grande capacité. Les chargeurs solaires étant volumineux fragiles etc. Ce type de batterie est un bon compromis et j'espère avec avec 2 batteries 3 h /jour de vidéo pouvoir tenir 15 jours à raison de video. Batterie générique compatible avec le camescope et le chargeur maintenant ses promesses de capacité 3500mAh et de longévité ... C'est l'avenir qui le dira. Prix très interessant
