i bought this set for my brother. it came with all the essentials. he loves the gift so much. i would buy again

I bought a few different comes because the one I used for years when I first started growing my face pubes broke. I bought a single 20 dollar "ox horn" from Man & Mane that was shipped broken twice (but regardless snagged) a few others that just weren't... finished (for the lack of a better word) very unpolished so they snagged too. The black comb that come with this kit had almost the perfect spaced wide tooth part (not sure honey color has same teeth) but the teeth were also polished and rounded for less snagg. One thing that bums me out is that the pleasant sandalwood scent from my old comb is almost nonexistent in this one. But it's nice. I only gave it 90 percent on build quality because the small teeth are very likely to break more easily than my other face pube rake.

Pros: The brush that comes with this kit is very nice, the bristles after over a month of use are still sturdy and make using beard oil very easy especially on application. The wood comb is also extremely nice. It is made very sturdy. I tried to break it in half with my hands and couldn't do it, along with its leather case it would be a good back pocket carry. The scissors are also decent quality, they are not loose at all where they come together so trimming is very easy.Cons: None at all, all around a very good product and a great beginner's kit for anyone wanting to grow a beard.

I ordered the dark set. Comb came in a different color than the brush and scissors.Scissors: Very, very sharp points. Uneven tension along the blades, weaker at the tip and base. Gets stuck along the middle so be careful in sensitive areas. Paint rubs off onto fingers along the blade edges. Comfortable handles.Brush: Some of the bristles are an entire inch longer than the rest of the brush. One or two would have been fine but I had to trim so many of the bristles to even things out. A lot of shedding right out of the box be sure to wash the brush before you start using it. No weird smell like other brushes I've purchased.Comb: Lots of splinters within the teeth on both sides. I used an old brush to force the splinters out.Overall feels low quality even for the price. Not worth the price. I wouldn't like this set as a gift.

This is a nice kit. The scissors are nice.The wooden comb is perfect for beard shaping and detangling my long head hair. The brush is softer than brushes than I am used to, but it actually works much better. It shed a whole bunch of bristles the first day only and hasn't shed since. The travel bag is just right for everything and has room to spare for beard oil.I highly recommend this kit.

Brush is really soft. The whole set is visually appealing as well. No complaints so far.
