Murder In The First Degree!
Noel Botham is as much a hero as any man or woman who served in the military: he was while he lived an excellent journalist with a flare for uncovering bits and pieces, and then taking the bits and pieces and demonstrating the truth of the reality which they represented. "The Murder of Prince Diana" is no exception.Having been in military intelligence, I can well verify many of the facts as well as the methods and techniques that are used to discredit a persons reputation, or take the persons life. So, when one takes into account the circumstantial, which was very accurately presented by Mr. Botham, and then combines that circumstantial evidence with the deliberate bungling of the "accident" investigation as well as the many laws that were broken during and after the "accident", a reasonably sane person can only come to one conclusion: HRH, Diana, the Princes of Whales, was indeed murdered.I have every confidence that this book, one day, will be on the "Forbidden Library" list: I strongly urge anyone who is not only interested in Lady Diana, her life and her work, but also truth and justice that you not only purchase this fantastic book, but all of the books listed in the Bibliography Section as well. Why?The "Royal" Family hopes that all of us will in time forget her and what happened that night, and until the day that the truth is brought to light and those responsible for Diana's murder are brought to justice, we must always remember: we must not ever, ever forget.Noel Botham did his part before his death two years ago. I ask all of you reading this review one simple question: what are you prepared to do to keep her memory alive?

Excellent insight into the web
Botham did a decent job in this book looking at the questionable circumstances on many levels surrounding Diana's death. He recognizes her shortcomings while delving into Charles and Camilla's long term relationship, the deceit of her marriage, her divorce and attempt to find a love of her own afterward. He also shows how the French "investigation" of the crash was purposefully botched, with layers of cover ups on many levels pointing to a deep conspiracy that may never be fully solved. If you recall the days of Diana in her glory, during the '80s and early '90s, and were a fan as I was, this book offers much needed insight into the circumstances surrounding the crash and how such a horrific event could have been planned and instigated. At the end of the day, Diana seemed to have been a pawn from the beginning, providing the heir and spare the Royal family wanted. It is Diana's beautiful sons, William and Harry, that are now left to preserve her memory in an honest and dignified way.

It does make one ponder...
I have read many books on Princess Diana and thought I had read most information on her life but this book has some details I had never read before. The author makes some truly valid points that Diana could have/ was killed. I had suspicions myself, there are too many open questions and the length of time it took to remove her from the wreck, getting her body to a hospital...passing up several that were closer and the disapproval of the life she was living to the Royal Family is just some of the reasons. I did not realize the book would also include her courtship with Prince Charles and the horrible way she was mistreated by he, Camilla and the whole family is quite detailed...some facts I did not know of. Diana definitely has some major problems which are covered as well. Which came 1st the chicken or the egg. Her family were not sympathetic to her situation either...this was a disaster waiting to happen. I now have many doubts as to what we have been told happened that night. Good read...backed up by names...and facts.

An interesting book because of it's believability
Diana Spencer embodied beauty, class and elegance. Her sophistication and grace captured the hearts of the world. Her life was cut short tradically. Was Diana's demise a simple accident or was it a well calculated government assassination to make her go away?In "The Murder of Princess Diana" Noel Botham calls Diana's death "The Murder of The Century" and he has Coutnless theories to make you consider that to be true. The modified route Diana's Mercedes took the night she died, the fact that she was taken to the hospital the longest distance from the crash sight and how the police used the paparazzi as an explination for what happened.Various conspiracy theory books about the late princess have been written over the years. The main point of difference for this book is that it is well researched and very believable in the way the timelines are laid out. Diana clearly had enemies but were there vendettas to the level that they wanted her dead? We will most likely never know.

Very surprising
When i finished reading this book i was entirely conviced that Princess Diana was murdered. All the facts add up and nobody can deny that her death took some heavy weight off some people's shoulders. The way the author presents all the evidence was amazing to me because i always thought that the theory of Princess Diana assassination was just that, a theory, but now i know that they're really lots of facts backing up that theory. This book is very interesting and i highly recommend it.

Jaw dropping information in this book - excellent
If you think you know everything about the Windsors and Diana's life, think again. This is excellent, jaw dropping information and props to Noel Botham for having the guts to dig deep and talk to many "insiders" at the risk of being killed himself for disclosing this kind of information. Could not put this book down. No question in my mind any more - Diana was murdered! U gotta read this book.

Would recommend
I found this book to be easy to read and credible. I first read it 7 years ago when alot of what was written in it wasnt known and therefore made it more of a sensational revealing read. Therefore some of the other reviews that mention the reputation of its content are partially true, but this is still one of the most credible and believable accounts I've read.....,and truste I've read alot!
