Update 2/24/19:Received the replacement item a few days ago and it was as beautiful as the first one! I am beyond pleased with the transaction and I will definitely be buying the blue one in the future!EDIT:They contacted me and said they would replace my item since it may have been a defective one that I received. I haven’t received the replacement yet since I have just reordered it, but I give 100000 stars due to their amazing customer service. However, I received the item with the chrome plating chipping on the back and it’s just sad cause I really like the design. So I got this for a 2015 X3 key fob. It’s not a hard plastic cover, it’s a flexible rubber one. Because of such, I imagine that after a while the color would rub off if you’re rough with the keys but we aren’t. The back comes off, you slide your fob inside and then just pop the back on again. It’s not loose fitting, or excessively thick. Pretty neat little thing if you wanna give your black key fob a little color to match your personality.

Keeps the manual key from falling out of the electric part. Also makes my keys look real flashy like I have a super nice car. Worth every cent! Will repurchase for my next set of keys.

The material is touch rubberized plastic, not silicone, which is great. Is totally smooth and for a distance looks like metal and hard plastic/glass. The cover doesn't significantly add size to the stock fob, but of course makes it a littler larger. Feels good and seems durable but of course it will scratch and I did put some marks putting on a key ring.The attached photos shows the fob with the cover, next to the 'naked' one (the one with the red trim).

Believe the positive reviews. Yes, it adds thickness, but not too much. The added protection out weighs the added bulk to your fob. And the issue with not being able to access your valet key (if you have one) on the fob? I took my valet key off and keep it on its own o-ring attached to my keys. Problem solved. I bought two of these fob protectors. An excellent investment.

Miserable FAILURE! Once installed, there is NO accomodation for removing the valet key! I locknmu glove box now and again, I will not use a product that requires me to remove it, just for basic functionality.It looks good z it's a shame the design ignored the valet key. The description of this item mentioned such, but the grammar is so horrible it's easy to miss.

Only think did not like was price apart from that it fits my BMW 5-Series no advice best way to fit got there these small things help it did come in nice box though.

My key came out of the fob in my handbag and I had a few minutes of flapping before I found it. A new one would have cost me £250 so I'd rather be safe than sorry
