My doctor recommended that I try something like these to put ibuprofen or naproxen in. I needed to take NSAIDs for a period of time and they upset my stomach. He suggested I try putting them in capsules such as these, and said that they should make it easier on my stomach. I looked for those that had the enteric coating. I wasn't sure what size to order, so I googled that first to see the different sizes I do think I could have used a smaller size. They woule have been a bit easier to swallow. These are a bit big, and they kind of have a feeling of wanting to "stick" a bit, but I just am sure to have plenty of water and things work out ok. Really, my only negative is that there is a really odd, salty taste to them. I try to drink and swallow them quickly. The taste doesn't linger, so it's not a big deal, but I could do without it. I figure it must be the enteric coating that causes that taste. But overall, these are helping with the issue I bought them for. They do not 100% eliminate the stomach upset I get from taking ibuprofen. But I would say that they reduce it by at least 80%, and make it possible for me to take the medicine I need to take for the time being.

I use these capsules to avoid heartburn and indigestion from necessary medications that I take. I put the prescription capsule inside one of these capsules and no more upper GI distress. Thank you, thank you, thank you!I find them flavorless and while they are a little large they wouldn't work for me if they were smaller. I may start making my own ginger and tumeric dietary supplements with these.

Received my order quickly, well packaged. I would have left a five star rating if the package had included a desiccant pack to help keep them dry as these will last me a long time.

Like most, I bought these specifically for the coating. A particular supplement I make for my husband creates an awful aftertaste. Due to the confusing reviews, I decided to use our situation as a single-person “study”, I did not tell my husband I had purchased a different product.Upon coming home from work, after the first day of use, he asked me if I had changed the supplement. Asking why, he replied, he had not experienced the aftertaste. Now this may be “tmi”, but for a true picture, is necessary. The aftertaste was so severe, it entered his water. Obviously, gross and significant, hence my search for a solution. This problem has ceased completely and I will never purchase a non-coated capsule again.Now, to focus on two specific reviews. The person whom “tested” the coating by immersing in vinegar and water. The fact the capsule dissolved in the water first proves it does have the coating. Vinegar has a ph of 2.5, while stomach acid is between 1-3. Water has a neutral to alkaline ph, as does the small intestines.Many people have unknown issues with low acidity in the stomach. The reason many medications require food is to raise stomach acid quantity and acidity. Without this extra acid, certain medications stay within the stomach too long causing nausea. It also doesn’t help that having low or high acidity has the same symptoms but “antacid” treatments are marketed heavier, leading people to assume they have “too much acid”. If the person has low acid and does not take with food or uses antacids, the enteric coating will fail. There are numerous studies on the various forms used to ingest sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). Although enteric Coates capsules are by far the best option, they are in no way perfect. Even this method causes some of the contents to end up in the stomach.Most, if not all fish oil supplements have this same coating. Most people have either experienced or heard stories about the aftertaste associated with taking omega-3’s. This topic is so widespread many people don’t realize they even have a coating to prevent it. They also don’t realize if they experience the aftertaste it all but diagnosis alow acidity in their stomach. A combination of poor diet choices and OTC antacid campaigning cause this widespread low acidity. Use of another medication led to a similar conversation with my mother whom eats antacids like candy. Got these to consume some essential oils. The capsules are easy to fill. I put peppermint oil in the capsules and have enjoyed not having peppermint burps as these capsules will usually dissolve in the small intestine.

While the size of the capsule surprised me (they seemed kinda big) they are SUPER easy to swallow and there is absolutely no flavor of the capsule. They are perfect for what I needed them for!FAST Delivery too!

I use these for my supplements, especially Oil of Oregano (which is really strong). I did not burp all day at all.It works. A really good product.
