Martian Passport Smartwatches with Amazon Alexa – Analog + Voice (B00FI16HS0)

This watch is great for voice commands. I have an iPhone 5s and it excels with its interaction with Siri. The function is identical to using the phone. It is also not too bad with text messages. It will scroll the entire message across its small screen if you set it to do so. The message scrolls as soon as the phone receives it. It is HORRIBLE with email messages. It displays very limited information with email messages. And if you get more than one it only lets you know that you have email messages waiting which you will have to read on the phone. If you were not wearing the watch at the time the texts or emails came through, the watch gives no indication of waiting notifications. Emails don't come across as soon as they hit the phone. The watch syncs with the phone in 3 minute intervals at the fastest setting. The leather band is not the best in quality. Going back to voice command, the watch speaks clear and loud. As stated previously it excels in this area. Siri functions perfectly and you can tell Siri to play music and it plays clearly through the watch. Here is the bottom line for me: If you like voice command and talking through your watch, this is your smart watch for now. If you rely on text messages, this watch is good as long as you are with the watch when the text comes through. If you need good email notification, this watch doesn't make the cut. If it excelled at all three I would have kept the watch. But $300.00 is a lot to pay for a watch that has a poorly designed notification system for my needs. I also own a Pebble Watch. It's text and email notification is very good to excellent and it also stores your notifications so you can call them back up. You cannot talk through it however. For now my suggestion would be to buy a Pebble if you want smart watch functionality. It works very good in all that it is designed to do. The technology is constantly improving in this market. Also as far as the watch reading your emails and texts through Siri - you can do this through the Martian Watch. But at no fault to the watch, Siri is sporadic with the way it reads emails. Sometimes you get the whole email and sometimes you only get the subject line. Texts are better. That being said I still in many instances have to pull out the phone to review many of the emails. If I have to do this then the watch is not as useful. I'm just saying for the price of the watch I should be able to completely rely on it. Sending emails and messages with the watch through Siri works much better. This watch needs a better system for visually reviewing emails and texts.

I hate to write a negative review but i am frustrated. I returned all three of my Martian Passport smartwatches. None worked. 2 were replacements for first one i purchased. When you pay several hundred dollars you expect a WORKING WATCH! It appeared to be bad batteries on all three. Two would power on but only if connected to charger and the third would not even do that. Amazon sent immediate replacements even for the replacements and i give them points for that. However i have sadly given up and returned the third and last one.

Was super excited to get this watch...and then it shows up dead on arrival...digital part won't even turn on after a full overnight charge. Super disappointed and returning today.

Within a couple weeks the plug would not connect with the watch. The connection on the inside of the watch is somehow no longer within reach. Bad buy.

have to say I have most all of them, (smart watches) this one is classic, it looks like an analog but has ENOUGH smarts to be a great watch! the passport and the Victory and the new notifier. I LOVE The notifier just love it! The company itself is also a great company and very responsive. All in all the progression of the watches from passport kickstart, to the new notifier...they have progressed nicely and will continue. I have the cookoo and it frankly is the worst, I have the pebble and it is great! its battery is not the greatest either. I have the Phosphor touch eh...not great at all. I had the Samsung NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS....and sent it back. I am waiting on the kreyos..but Martian is a great watch. My recommendation is start with the martian notifier and you will love it, then go to the passport to add some functions. I am an attorney and having a watch that doesn't look techy or that you are trying to be cool with your stupid google glasses...this watch looks classy and still has enough tech to satisfy this geek.

I have always wanted to get a smartwatch since i work with my hands a lot at work. My only concern was that i did not like the look of Digital watches. I am a watch collector and love the look of analog watches. This watch is elegantly designed and very good looking with any style or suit. The bands are so easy to swapout to new bands! (22mm band). I didnt personally like the leather band it came with, wasnt very comfortable for work so i swapped out. Having notifications read directly through it are amazing. I don't have to pull out my phone to check any update i may miss.The voice commands have worked 100% and very accurate. It is like Siri on your wrist!I started out with Martian Notifier, and loved it but i found a deal on eBay for $106!! Amazing price. And brand new. Firmware was easy to update through the Martian site as well. Great for score updates on sports, any social media updates you may follow( i have those turned off currently).So far off of a full charge, i am on day 3 and just above 50%. Id say i have it turned on 12 hours a day (work day and some after). The battery life of my iPhone 6 has been slightly impacted but not enough to the point where it is an issue.Love love love this watch. Would reccomend to anyone and everyone.
