I was put off by the low price but decided I would take the risk, and if I wanted something bigger and better I would buy something else. Right now I only needed something for micro-print from time to time, especially for reading all to common examples such as instructions to products.The plastic lid holding the batteries is obviously fragile and I suspect I will need to tape this on within a year. I needed to supply three AAA batteries but I expected that.The glass balances nicely in the hand. Then, I was pleasantly surprised the difference that the LED lights made, even in daylight.This magnifier functions like an improved traditional hand glass, for occasional use. The bonus additional small glass was worth having. Together I had no problem reading the back of my watch.So, if you only want occasional use, like having a pair of scissors near my work area, then this is a good by for the price.

Brought this to replace a different one i ordered which was in fact too heavy for my grandma, this one is perfect, light weight and easy to use, very happy with this purchase.

It’s bigger than I thought and takes three batteries to charge the light but good value for money if it lastsNot high quality so be careful not to scratch the surface
