Singbring Men's Outdoor Active Quick Dry Hiking Shorts

Great shorts with one problem. Notice the negative comments about the zipper pockets. Notice the product photo. The zipper flap is sewed on backwards - opposite the normal direction. This makes it awkward, and slow to find the zipper, and/or access the pocket, as the flap needs to be pulled back to expose the zipper (normally your hand simply slides in, moving the flap and finding the zipper in one motion). Amazon sells these same shorts with the zipper flap material sewed on normally (Donhobo appeared in the "Customers who bought this also bought" area - same shorts with flap on correctly). I bought the Singbring, and now I have bought the Donhobo also. Incidentally; a few reviewers complained the pocket opening is smaller than average, but this is good, as things do not fall out, even when the zipper is open - a 5.5' phone will fit in the front pockets, and still be zipped. Two other complaints were zipper breakage, and sewing coming loose - after about 10 wearings this has not occurred with mine. These seem the best shorts available with totally close-able pockets if you want to move a lot (material stretches, and does not hang up on knee).

I bought these shorts because I was on a quest to find quality clothing items at a reasonable cost. These shorts certainly deliver. The material is light weight, stretches, and dries quickly. Zippers are durable and operate smoothly and will keep important items like keys and money right where they need to be. These are perfect for hiking or any outdoor activity.Compared to Columbia, Mountain Hardware, etc I think these stand up well in terms of performance. They may not carry the same brand recognition but at 1/4 the cost I think they are a better option for someone on a budget.Though I gave it five stars, because I like these enough to buy more, I do have a couple things that would make these a 6-star rating. First, I appreciate a draw string and elastic waistband as much as anyone, but these would look really nice with a button and a zipper fly. I mean, like as dressy as any pair of shorts could look. The fabric looks crisp and resists wrinkling, so they pass the test in that regard. I just feel weird being out with my wife, on a date, in a pair of drawstring anything. Maybe that is my own personal hang up.

I have a 31” waist and the mediums fit as expected. They’re a little long for me though, coming a good bit below the knee. The reason for the 2 stars is that I ordered 2 different color for an upcoming trip and they sent 2 of the same color. Not a huge issue. Also, one of the pairs I ordered had the back pocket sewn into the inseam and I had to cut it out carefully to not cut the pocket. I would have tried to return it, but t was too close to my trip for me to be able to ship it back and wait for a new pair.

These shorts were amazing before the right side pocket zipper broke a few hours into wearing them for the first time. I used these shorts for traveling in a tropical country to keep cool and dry and it worked great for that. However, while traveling I needed to have zippers on all 3 pockets to keep my wallet, phone, and keys secure. The shorts worked great for keeping me cool, ventilated, and dry but I was definitely bummed out when the zipper broke. I was inconvenienced by it because I was on vacation in a different country and couldn't do anything about it. I might be buying another pair in hopes that the new pair's zipper holds up because the drying qualities on these shorts are top notch.Singbring: Please upgrade the zippers and you'll have yourself a top notch product!!! Until then I'm a little nervous about your products.

Needs a pair of nice hiking shorts in the August heat of Yosemite National Park. These were perfect, the size was just right and they sat exactly where I wanted. Very cool and quick to dry, also wick away moisture and dirt with relative ease. The zipper pockets are perfect for keeping you phone/valuables safe when climbing.There are pretty cheap for the quality you receive, I would suggest anyone hiking in hot weather use these as your go to shorts.

I lounged around in them several times in the home... then I went for a 4 mile run with my keys dangling in the pocket. After one mile the keys broke through my pocket and made a whole. I put them in the other pocket... after two miles they broke through the second pocket. Now it's trash. Seems to be a very poor seam in the pockets.

These shorts looked as I'd expected them to look. I wanted abundant zippers because I'm a klutz and if I can't secure my pockets, I lose things. Zippers on this unit work well enough, basically functional. Problem is shoddy construction. I'd worn them no more than three times when the right pocket seam failed and things started dropping to the ground (coins, keys, etc.). Then as I was arranging to get the pocket repaired (klutzes don't typically make good seamsters), the seam at the center in the back of the shorts also simply separated. I hadn't worn the shorts more than five times by this point. I won't blindly trust Amazon with clothing purchases in future. I'll choose only brands with which I'm familiar or ones that have an overt QA/QC protocol and user reviews the match. More likely, I'll look to other sources for my clothing needs: these shorts are not worthy of their retailer. End of.

Great shorts, lots of zipper pockets (though pockets are sorta small). Shorts are very comfortable and work well for long hikes and backpacking trips. The shrunk a little after washing so if you're right in between sizes like myself (medium - large), go with the larger of the sizes. Overall, really like these shorts and will purchase again if I need another pair. My roommate saw them on our last camp trip and asked where I got them and wanted some himself.
