I bought this bottle after someone broke my previous gallon bottle, it seemed unassuming and sleek enough considering its size, which is something that appealed to me. The capacity is great, I think it's actually more than a full gallon, and the shape and structure of it makes it look like it's actually less. i like that!It came packaged in a way that made the bottle permanently misshapen. It's not so bad now after several months but it might arrive looking distorted in shape.So to carry this bottle, you can kinda only do so from the handle at the top of the lid. Other bottles have jug handles, lid handles, and strap handles to give you options, so that is a limiting factor in this bottle's design. The handle itself is pretty good for me though and I've never had an issue.I've had issues with this bottle leaking before, and I don't know if it's me not fastening the locking mechanism or lid correctly but it's annoying when it happens. I drive everywhere with this thing, and since there aren't gallon sized cupholders in cars, I have to put it in my seat or on my floor. When it inevitably falls over during my drive, I sometimes don't notice it's leaking until I'm at a light or something. I just wish there were a foolproof way to know the bottle is properly closed/fastened.The locking mechanism is kind of ineffective, like it gets loose and the slide latch doesn't properly slide and shift after a while. As a result, the lock kinda seems useless.Other than that, it's a solid water bottle. Just fix the leaking somehow.

The media could not be loaded.  This water bottle is definitely not for everyone but it’s perfect for a niche group. I’ll start with the good and then move on to the potential negatives.I bought this because I have a goal of drinking 1 gallon of water every day and I’ve found over time that if I can visualize all of the water I need to drink in the day, I do it! It doesn’t work for me to keep refilling a smaller water bottle. I forget how many times I refilled and frequently can’t conceptualize how much I have left to drink.The water bottle is quite large. (It’s about as big as my 17 lb dog… don’t worry it doesn’t weigh 17 lbs.) I’ve posted some pictures for size comparisons. It’s taller and thinner than a gallon jug of milk. It has a sturdy plastic handle that I’m not at all concerned about breaking. If the lid is secured correctly, the cap will not come off.You can also secure the part of the lid that pops up to access the straw within the handle, so the pop-up part doesn’t hit you in the face while drinking.The opening of the bottle is large enough I can fit my whole hand in there, so it makes hand washing easy. It also means you can put full ice cubes in the bottle with no issue.The straw is very creative. I’ve posted a video so you can see. It has two attachments, one for the bottom and one for the top of the straw. The top attachment is a cone-like, plastic cover that allows it to fit through the lid without slipping into the bottle. The bottom is a collapsable tube that is important for closing the cap on the bottom (The cap pushes the straw down into the bottle, so the tube stops it from bending the straw.) The tube is also helpful for getting the last little drops out from the bottle — It acts like a little snorkel (▰˘◡˘▰)I’ve read some reviews where people say the water bottle is difficult to drink out of, which I haven’t found to be true for me. If you leave it on your desk, it’s tall enough to lean over and drink from. Also, the handle makes it pretty easy to hold it to your mouth. The functionality of the straw makes it so you never have to tip the bottle. I admit it's a little awkward looking, but you don't have to tip the bottle over your head like you would have to if you were drinking from a jug.Now for some not so perfect things about the bottle.It can get quite heavy, so it’s definitely not portable. I estimate it’s about 9 lbs when completely full (A gallon of water weighs 8 lbs!) If you are a student who has to go all around campus or someone who travels by public transit a lot, I would not advise the water bottle, unless you just want it for when you're home. It’s perfect if you work a desk job or plan to use it only for the gym.Since it’s such a big bottle, it takes pretty much all day to drink it, so the water will become room temperature. I personally think that makes the water at the bottom taste bad. I’ve added ice as the water nears the bottom, but you need to add a lot of ice to make it actually get cold. Sometimes it tastes like plastic when the water is near the bottom. It's difficult to tell if that's because the water is warm or what, but I’ve found that if I center the straw (rather than have the bottom of the straw right up against the side of the bottle) that taste goes away.Also, a super little thing is when you screw the cap on, the straw faces the side of the bottle that has the times on them rather than the side with the water measurements. I would prefer seeing the water measurement as I drink, considering I don’t work normal hours and the 7 am-9 pm timeline doesn't apply to me, but it’s not a deal-breaker.Overall this is a great water bottle! If you want something a little more portable, I recommend going with the company’s half-gallon bottle instead.

Great bottle, but the lock for the top keeps sticking so I have to mess with it to get it open.

A game changer! Even though it got four stars, this has been such a game changer in helping me achieve my goals of being hydrated throughout the day.Unfortunately, this survey does not give me an option to give it 4.75 stars.This encouraging gallon game changer has improved my skin, allowed me to not binge on inappropriate food and in the two weeks that I have had it… without dieting, I have lost almost 11 pounds. I was not trying to lose weight. I was simply trying to improve my overall health. This container not only cheer she won but also gives you goals throughout the day so that you stay on target. How many other coaches can keep cheering you on every other hour for a COMPLETE day??? The only reason it got four stars is that the color scheme is a tad bit bold for my liking, if you don’t have it clipped just write it can leak on you no matter where you are if it happens to be at a little bit of an angle. And as for drink ability or user-friendly, by the end of the night it needs to be leveled so that the straw gets the last bit.If you are tall, muscular, a serious sweater, wanting your complexion to improve or challenging your self… This is the gallon drinking device that you should have! It is a sturdy bottle. The straw doesn’t pop-up on mine. The opening is too small when I chug and the handle is in the way of my nose.I do like that it is tall and skinny enough that I can put it in my backpack. But like I said, the lid needs to be redesigned. I wouldn’t buy this again.

Great quality bottle, keeps water nice a chilled all day long which is surprising. Quite big but I guess that’s what it says on the tin

This bottle can hold almost 4L! I have been hitting my water goals each day since receiving this bottle. I don't always drink the entire thing, but it is convenient that I don't always have to fill it up. The straw allows me to drink fro any angle. And it is easy to carry around. I am happy to have this with me at work.

Didn't really understand how big this was until it arrived. It is of great quality and really does keep me hydrated for an entire day without having to refill. When full you could definitely beat someone less hydrated than yourself.

Love this gallon sized drink bottle! Helps encourage me to drink more water more regularly which I’m not usually great at. It’s easy to pull apart and clean because the opening is big enough to stick your whole arm in and get a sponge involved.
