There is no special gasketing on the plug for weather resistance, but I have 6 of them on outdoor Arlo Pro 2s for months now with no issues. The micro USB plug fits pretty tight into the Arlo. On one of my cams that has no weather protection, I bought on Amazon one of the outdoor enclosures that looks like a little birdhouse and that keeps the connection dry.
