Compact power supply for my little home office
I was looking for a compact, noise free, DC power supply for my embedded development work. This power supply comes with 30V/10A range. One more button to turn output ON/OFF without turning off the total power to the supply would have been much handy, but on the lighter note, this supply delivers what it says.Had this for around 6 months, never had an issue.

Works fine
My requirements are basic, so a switch mode power supply is fine. Voltage and current regulation work well.So far I've used it to anodise an aluminium gear.

reliable
Been using it quite a lot and it has never failed. The intelligent fan is fairly quiet and only comes on at higher power. I did have a spectacular failure of the Mains lead at the IEC connecter when I went bang but this was due to the lead being a bit cheap so I would swap that out or keep an eye out for perishing. Internal construction looks pretty reasonable I thought. The setting POTS on the front panel for current and voltage are 5X multi turn ones.

Arrived but not functional
The product arrive quickly but did not work. Powered on but did not give a read out, fan started to spin then stopped right away.

A basic but accurate power supply
The first thing I noticed on this was the UniRoi sticker above the "DC power supply" that's printed onto the front. So I looked online and found that this is a generic unbranded supply that a distributor whacks a sticker on. For example it's also 'made' by Eventek.Aside from that suspicious sticker it's a fine supply. I tested it at different random voltages and amperages and it was either bang on or only very slightly off.My only concern with this is that the Current dial appears to do nothing. That is, until you short the positive and negative terminals, and then you can set a limit. This is okay but I was a little surprised at the method! This is actually how you're supposed to do it according to the incredibly thin manual. But hey, it's £40 and accurate so unless you need to go above 32v / 10.2a then go for it. ...or if you have a spare £20 on top, then you can get something with a few more bells and whistles.
