it could snap it like cheap twine
At first, i thought this was some tough line. Standing on the bank fishing i caught a couple 1-3lb range largemouths. Went on the river for first float of the year Saturday (30 June 2018) and lost bait after bait after bait to literal SNAPS of this line. I have another brand of braid that is the same "8lb, 40lb mono equiv" that i REELED MYSELF in my kayak over to a snag and undid it.......this stuff, as soon as a bigger smallmouth in the river would nail my crawdad, it could snap it like cheap twine. I've done palomar, and several other knots thinking it was that but no, i put minimal effort into it and snapped the line myself..... not impressed with "Godline" so far.

This stuff is horrible.
I lost two lures because this line broke mid cast. Not at the knot either!! I seen a YouTube vid saying this stuff is unbelievably good, well that's not the case for me. Lost two high end lures. Going to return it.

Does not perform as marketed.
Did not perform as advertised. I saw this product on YouTube for the first time, and the vlogger raved about it. Black braid looks super cool, too. So I ordered some. I put it on an Abu Garcia Black Max, and tied on a 1/4 ounce football jig. One of the first things I noticed about this line is how incredibly thin it is. It flips like a dream because of its light weight and sewing thread-like size. Unfortunately that’s all I have good to say about this specific line. First cast, it snapped my jig off at the knot. I figured I just have some something wrong, so I tied another on. Flipped a few times, no problem. I took my pole sideways, to make a 25 yard or so sidearm cast, the line snapped again. This time my reel sucked the line back inside and it rat nested. After I cleaned it out, I tied a ned rig with a 4 inch finesse worm. Just basically drop shot or vertical jigging it. The line snapped off at the knot, again, just from the weight of the worm and hook. I couldn’t believe it. Needless to say I went home and took this line off my reel that night. That’s when I realized that my hands were dyed this off green color, and so was the cork on my rod. This green/black dye was all in my reel as well.Just overall poor quality.

Be aware...
I bought this 40# multi-color braid for trolling in the ca. Delta. I wanted a line that I could use on a reel w/out a line counter. I measured the colors to be exactly 10 meters, or 33 feet per color. The colors are bright and easy to to count w/a high contrast between. I bought the 150 yd. spool to use on a new abu 6500-c3. Here’s the deal...I calculated the advertised dia. Of .33mm for adding 50 yds. Of 20# ande (.47mm) as backing, and 150 yds of GODLINE braid. Be aware, this 40# line is .41mm, NOT the .33 as stated on the package. So I had to remove it, take off 20 yds. of the mono and it fit the spool perfectly. This CHINA line is FAT, it should be called SUMO line. Just a heads up...if I knew the dia. was so far off I would have chosen the 30# test....it’s not a big thing, but it’s not exactly a power pro equivalent either.

Surprisingly good for the $
Bought this in a variety of weights and colors. So far it’s holding up decent. The color fades a little, especially in the sun but I actually prefer a duller colored line. Haven’t tried a breaking strength test, but I never expect braid to break at the stated rating. Casts quite well on my bsitcasters. Doesn’t birds nest often, and when it does, it’s surprisingly easy to clear. For the price, I think it’s a good buy.

Quality Product at a Quality Price.
This line is great for its price point and category. Sad to say but I overcast my first cast with this line on and got tangled into a tree. The line is plenty strong enough that I was able to reel my self from a boat into the tree to retrieve my line and lure. Another great thing I like about this line is its smoothness. This line is as smooth as silk, which should make it glide through the water with little to zero resistance. having a great quality line at a love price makes it great on my wallet for when it comes to restringing poles or in the inevitable rat's nest. I have switched all my poles to GODLINE.

Silky Smooth Casting
Using this line is akin to throwing sewing thread. It casts as smooth as silk and casts a mile. Super sensitive to feel the lightest of bites. You can't go wrong with the price or quality of this line. Excellent color selection as well. No matter you favorite color Godline has one for you!

Really good quality and good price
I have just received the reel and braid line, and tried them at lake for the first time. I caught 2 carps at size of over 10 pounds within 1 hour. The reel and line works very good. The reel is very smooth and strong. The line is very thin, I think I can use a thicker line on this reel.
