Been consistent user of Duracell Coppertop. Read the glowing Procell reviews and figured what the heck since Coppers seem to be losing their full power rather quicker lately in consumer devices - PC wireless gear, flashlights, etc. Even products claiming 6 months battery life seemed rundown in 3 or so months. Mouse would still work ok but seemed sluggish. Put those 2 AAs into standard flashlight and sure enough they weren't fully bright like when new. Popped in 2 of these (dated March 2017!) and flashlight burned brighter than ever did with fresh Coppers. Course instant thought popped into head bone. Does this mean early burn out? You know the game, fast start - poor finish... Guess time will tell. Reviews don't suggest that problem tho and would prob have shown up by now about a burn out after just 2 months or so. If I can get 5 perhaps 6 months in a mouse with enough power left to run the flashlight by then, I'll be happy at this price. Pays to replace batteries anyway else forget and find a mess of nasty chem gunk in there. Old cable remote had that. Read about the Amazon house brand which also gets strong reviews. Seems also a good deal considering some early house product reviews were iffy. Usually barf was poor quality control. Seems better sourcing lately. Procell for now just on basis of brand name. Won't even bother to put the batteries into refrigerator like in old days. Was supposed to retard spoilage by delaying chem reactions. Same idea as with unexposed film wrapped up in fridge. Current chem materials don't benefit from that kind of low temp storage. Of course the knock off Chinese copies in Man'h are dated far oot years too on Coppers. Never saw them do imitations of Procell. Tried a set of Coppers for a $1 once. Lasted maybe 1 hour weakly and 2 of 6 wete dead. Simple packaging. Good free delivery came via USPS on date stated. Couldn't do a daily track like w/ UPS, Fedex or Lazership so gotta be aware of delivery drop off plans or USPS will leave a message not box. Lazership just leaves the box outside apt door. Half of this walk up building gets Amazon deliveries regularly. I add my 5 Stars and hope incoming Hurricane Irene acts nice.

So I go on Amazon to get some good AA batteries. These Procells come up but no regular copper tops. Never heard of them before. So they look good but what does that mean? So now the research starts (burning extra time) to see if these are any good. Turns out it's difficult to really find out the difference between them. The Duracell website is no help. I can't find the specs for the batteries. (What a surprise!) Turns out looking for information about these batteries isn't new to people. Go onto the Duracell website and search for Procell and you come up with nothing. Google Duracell Procell and you discover a completely different Duracell website run for the industrial market. Of course, no specs here either. In comparing what information they have on the two websites, plus some information from forums, they are almost the same battery. Duracell does say the Procell are charged to a higher voltage, whatever that does for you - not sure that means the battery capacity is better. But it also says the Procells are bulk packaged (for lower cost). So I would venture to say these puppies are a good equivalent to the regular copper tops at a lower cost. I bought them and they seem to work fine. Duracell lost a star because of the time I had to spend figuring out if these batteries would work as an equivalent to the copper tops.

I use massive amounts of AA batteries for my canon speed lights. Over the course of a week, I will use 8-24 batteries. It is a major component of my COGS, so cost is important. (Although I am starting to replace my battery affliction with rechargeable lithium battery packs, I have to pace myself because they have a very high cost per unit and cash flow is important.). I have used almost every major battery brand and here is why I think these pro-cell & ultra batteries are the best. They work 100% of the time. If you are not a photographer, you might want to stop reading here- When I buy Duracell copper top batteries in bulk from Big Box Stores, some will work for 200 flashes (4 AA's) and some will work for 50 flashes. Why? I don't know. I carry around a battery tester and when my radio transmission feature is not sending correct information, I check the battery level. Almost all AA batteries can be reliably used (in my speed lights) until the battery is run down to ½ of original power. After that, the communications become garbled and my receiver flashes may or may not put out the power that my transmitter is requesting. I have learned to live with this fact. Enter the Duracell Procell and Ultra. I can use almost all of the battery life and have been able to extend my battery usage about ⅓ more than before. I do not know why, perhaps these are kept in a better temperature environment before being sold to the consumer. That is only a guess- I really don't know.

I have been using these batteries for years, they are among the best out there. They are indeed Duracell batteries, made by the same copper top brand that advertises on TV like crazy, the only difference is that these batteries are designed to be used in hospitals, EMTs, by firefighters, cops, and other civil servants or those whose profession requires a little more battery life in their battery powered items. Additionally, they are made to endure extreme cold and extreme hot temperatures, something normal coppertops are not designed for. Duracell does not market these batteries as frequently as their normal retail packaged batteries because they are usually only offered for wholesale sale or sale to professionals. They are therefore a big secret in the industry and are great batteries. I bought a pack of AA and AAA for use at family function in which I gave everyone a digital handheld camcorder to capture the family event. I included the batteries within the cameras and an additional pair within the welcome bag, the event lasted for 2 days with a total of 10 hours of activity, I obtained more than 300 hours of video from 30 cameras, and not a single person had to use the spare batteries I gave them. All in all these are great batteries and I highly recommend them

Not sure when I purchased these, but the ones that are installed into the clocks, powerdoor locks smart locks etc.. are still running. likely for 12 months > for power door locks.. guessing, but these are probably the best industrial batteries you can get, did a power test and they got near maximum resistence output on an analog manual test, most batteries are like half of it, and they are the so called top brands.. consumer brands and this one the industiral brand... totally different level of power endurance and output, will always go with these, they are literally the best that money can buy for the sizes available. you really don't need to worry about the change out.. it feels like they last 2-3 times longer than the regular high end batteries sold in stores.
