If your dog pulls, this is your solution!
10/10 recommend!! This harness has made walking my standard poodle so much more enjoyable. It was an immediate behavior change that has endured. Though she is more comfortable in it now, there is still no pulling and she is easier to control when we encounter other dogs on walks. I can’t say enough good things about this product. Thank you, thank you, Halti!

Best Harness So Far!!
I don't write many reviews, but this harness was a LIFESAVER.Harness Size: MedPupper: 45-50 lb Husky/GSDMy dog has a high level of fear aggression. A few days ago, she decided (after around almost a YEAR of 0 complaints) to be terrified of her 2HoundsDesign harness. My guess is a combination of the *snap* sound of the buckles, combined with the pressure under her forearms. Morning walk? Completely fine. Evening walk? Tries to bite, is full on Kujo mode, no walk/normal nightly exercise, only goes outside to pee after I make a slip leash, then pouts in her bed the rest of the night. (She was not injured, I made sure to check later). Cue me (stressed out from Xmas hours and sick with the flu), having a breakdown on the kitchen floor, wondering if I'm capable of handling such a reactive dog.Halti No Pull Harness:No snaps, no buckles. Just quickly pulled it over her head, and asked for "paw" on both sides. I wouldn't say it's as pull-proof as the 2HoundsDesign, but it's pretty darn close. No sliding from side to side when I use a double (front/back connection) lead.I believe that the Halti is superior to the 2Hounds, in that there is quite a bit of slack when she is NOT pulling. Although the 2Hounds design is also padded and has SOME give, it seems rather constrictive, *esp when she is sitting*. I feel like this Halti harness is one I can take with us on long mountain hikes with no worry of chaffing or discomfort. Also, the reflectiveness of the stitching is on point.--------Previous Harnesses:Halti Gentle Leader:Does my dog HATE it? Yes. Do I *love* it? Also, YES. It's great for when we are in crowded areas and I want FULL control.2HoundsDesign:I loved it until it no longer was an option. I will say that I worried about discomfort/chaffing on some of our longer hikes. But, it has been the best option for reducing pulling over-all.Ruffwear Front Range:Big fan off the Ruffwear brand, NOT a fan of this harness. There is a front lead option. It's sturdy, but it isn't metal. Also, it slides around far too much to be functional for a dual lead. Might work for some, but my dog goes full *sled dog* if the lead is attached to just her back.

Great for Deep Chested Breeds
I have been through multiple harnesses (both regular and no-pull) for my German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) The problem with the other harnesses is they all wrap around the chest. The HALT harness changes all that because it wraps under the front arms instead of the chest. This is a game changer for me because it is the first and only harness I have found that fits my GSP perfectly. I would highly recommend this product for deep chested dogs like GSPs, Weimaraners, Greyhounds, and Dobermans. I rated this product only four stars because it is not very effective with regard to stopping the dog from pulling. It does work a little, and if you get the HALT double leash (connects at the neck and back), then you will have a lot more control. Nonetheless, the pulling may still be an issue - especially with strong, super-energetic, predator dogs like GSPs.

Best harness, sturdy & well made.
I ordered a Medium harness because pup was between sizes & hated it. Shoved it in the closet & forgot about it. A while later I read reviews & decided to try again but Small size. Love this harness! First adjustment was easy and no more pulling. I don't think it could be any easier to put on and love going on walks now. So sturdy and yet comfortable with all the padding.

Didn’t control my strong and reactive dog well enough
I love the Halti face harness and have probably purchased 10 of them just for my wild and crazy GSD. She’s reactive to a lot of things, but most especially bikes - and the face harness helps a lot. However, she does not like it and is often throwing herself on the ground to rub at it. It also inhibits her panting causing her to get a it foamy at the mouth (nothing like lunging at a bike with a foamy mouth to get a biker to actually warn me next time he speeds by too close). The reason I have purchased so many is someone always puts it on wrong at some point, typically from behind her, and the chin strap ends up in her mouth and chewed through in two seconds. This is exactly what happened to me just last week when I took it off to give her a break from it while on a long walk. Hence, the purchase of this harness. The problem with this harness is when my girl is going to lunge, she often lunges hard. The harness pulls to the side and does not give me enough control. If it’s really unexpected (I’m always listening for bikes, no EarPods allowed for me), I sometimes end up falling. The harness is not terrible, and I think when I use two leashes it’s better and may work well for a less powerful/less reactive dog, but I now have an order in for a prong collar (don’t be judgy until you’ve put one on your arm and yanked it, it’s not cruel).I have spent well over a year trying to get her calmer, and she is doing much, much better most days. But if she actually got to a speeding biker, all of us could get very hurt. We’ll see how she does with a prong, but I also ordered two backup Halti face harnesses.

I ended up buying something else..
I REALLY wanted to like these. I bought 4! This is not a new type of harness.I bought 3 small and 1 medium. I have 3 chihuahuas, 13-25 lbs. The small fits them all about the same. The medium uses heavier / bulkier materials, but they are the same size. This was the closest harness I could find, similar to what I've been using for 25 years, which I just found, this evening. The sinch mechanism needs to be redesigned! These are VERY difficult to tighten, and the black is easiest. I'll go so far as to say they are a real pita to adjust into position. The bright orange pieces I put on to make it easier to release, it's not part of the harness.Pic shows my previously used harness, which uses a very simple push and release locking system.I have decided to send these back. Unfortunately, this was the best I came up with after visiting 4 local pet stores, Walmart etc.

TRY THIS! IT WORKS!
Impressed! My 80 lb very strong independent golden likes to take the lead when we walk. Not one to heel at my side, always pulling to be ahead of me. I have tried many harnesses to rein him in and give me more control and they have worked somewhat but THIS harness is turning out to be the BEST! It has definitely slowed him down. With more training I do believe he's not going to be pulling me down the road! The way this harness works is the key. It tightens on his torso as he pulls and he responds by slowing down. I also use the command "Slow" so he understands what I want. Other harnesses do not work like this one. Easy to put on if you follow the video directions and have a dog who is used to wearing a harness. The medium fits well for a dog this size. I have tried using just the top leash ring for more control and less pulling as well as both top and front rings for more safety in different situations. I will definitely be ordering another one for a spare.

Best harness
Title: ★★★★★ Finally, a gentle and effective solution for pullers!Review:I have tried so many different collars and harnesses, but the Halti is by far the best for stopping leash pulling. My dog is much more manageable on walks because of the front control steering, which gently redirects their movement without choking them. I love that it’s lightweight, fully adjustable, and padded in all the right places. It gives me complete peace of mind knowing my dog is comfortable and safe. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with a dog that pulls!

Şu an köpeğimin ön tarafında tasma izi oluştu. Daha seyrek ve kısa tüyler var artık.

It works.
It works. It doesn’t stop him pulling but it reduces the strength of it. Meaning less impact and reduced stress for walker and dog, both physical and mental! This harness makes on leash walking much easier for both of us. Recommend.

This works brilliantly
Absolutely thrilled with the effect this harness has had on our young terrier mix, he isn't particularly strong but the constant pulling made lead walking unpleasant. He is quite a highly strung dog who's suspicious of anything 'new'' so I expected him to be freaked out by the new harness, he was the opposite... Calm, no pulling and a please to walk him, it really was an instant, vast, improvement. This bit of kit is a kind, comfortable and gentle training aid, I'd highly recommended to anyone who's dog pulls when on a normal lead or harness. It really works !
