Very inaccurate reading - not to be relied upon
The reading is a whole degree out compared with thermometer reading at the hospital. I am currently undergoing medical treatment and I need to have accurate temperature reading - I had been using this quite happily but am shocked that when I tried it against the hospital one the readings were so different. Please make sure you check yours - it is easy to use but you of course useless if the reading is so inaccurate!Annoyingly I hadn’t checked against another reading previously and am now outside the returns period so is a complete waste (and dangerous if you are fully relying on it) it money! (I only purchased it in July this year).

Dangerously inaccurate
Dangerous.. bought this to monitor person undergoing chemo so needed to check temperature for poential infection. Readings ranged from 32 degrees to 40 degrers when patients temperature normal. 2 unneccessary emergency hospital visits. Then read normal when patient did have infection!

When you take the temperature, you don't wake your baby up :)
It's much better than I thought. It's very easy to use, in particular during the middle of the night, when you take the temperature, you don't wake your baby up :)

Very handy to have forehead reading too.
Very convenient as can be used on forehead to take quick reading. Personally I would use in ear to get more accurate reading. A must have in the house especially if have children.

Frequently Errors
Lots of these thermometers are exactly the same, they're made by one company and then badged and branded by others.I purchased this one after another had failed, this one had the room temperature check and object/liquid.This functionality, however, isn't really present. You can just use the forehead mode to scan other objects. The issue here is that if the temperature is low (I think below 30'c) then you're going to get a reading that states low or ERRSo if you're looking for this functionality, just leave it, it doesn't have it.When it comes to accuracy, it was also weak, the same spot scanned twice resulted in changes of 1'c which is nowhere near accurate enough to be used for anything other than a gimmick.Bottom line, it's a nice design, it's easy to use, but it's pointless.

Broken after being used only three times
I have had this thermometer a year and it has only been switched on about three times. I got it out to test it with the surge in virus cases recently and it won't work at all. I've tried changing the batteries but it is definitely broken.Apparently I can't send it back, so it has been an absolute waste of money and it is shocking that it's barely been used and has broken already. It is certainly not fit for purpose and I would not recommend this device at all. Do not buy it and be careful of this brand, I would suggest. Additionally the image on the listing is not the same as the item I bought, so it's strange they've changed it.

Dangerous device, avoid.
I avoid leaving negative reviews but I consider this item dangerous. I have 3 thermometers, one for the mouth, one taking the temperature via the eardrum and this one. And though the other two give me consistent readings plus minus 0.3C between them, this one shows me a downward difference of between 1C to 1.6C. The other day my 11 month old had temperature, I could feel it myself as I kissed her forehead, and I was sure it was a high one. I used my trusted thermometer and sure enough it showed 38.7C (I always take 3 readings). I then used this one: 37.1C via the forehead, 37.3C via the eardrum. Not only I do not recommend this product but I believe it should be withdrawn from the market and investigated by the relevant authorities.

Imprecise and unreliable readings for our baby. Not recommended.
We've noticed that this thermometer always underestimates our 2-months old baby temperature. We compared the reported temperature with readings from an under-arm thermometer and the difference could be anything between 0.5C and ~1C, which means we could not rely on this thermometer. On one occasion, we decided to take our baby to the A&E and the hospital's under-arm thermometer confirmed our under-arm thermometer was right. Hence, I cannot recommend this IR thermometer for babies.
