AvoDermNatural Dry Dog Food, For Skin & Coat, Lamb & Rice Formula, 4.4 Pound

I used to buy this dog food in the late 80s when it first came out. There were very few options then besides Alpo and Purina One. I rescued a dog from the street and have had him for a year he has horrible allergies to dog food. Tried everything with no success. Then I remembered Avoderm. After just one week his allergies have reduced dramatically. I swear by this food now. I spent hundreds on high end protein products, supplements and cooked for him. Nothing helped his ears and snout and hot spots would flare up right after eating. There are no reactions now just a hint of minor allergies. I also love this brand because it is made in California from American sources. If you look at most of the high end brands they saw made in America with the finest international ingredients which usually means China. I seriously respect a company that stays true to its commitment to be the best for pets.

I’ve been using AvoDerm for a decade or so. My last pooch was getting the Nutros kibble stuck in her front teeth! I started researching highly rated dry foods, this was top 3 in it’s price range. Great ingredients, not greasy on your hands, smaller sized and does NOT get stuck in my girlie pooch’s teeth! I would highly recommend this over ANY purina product. And over many of the top name brands, as far as dry kibble goes.

This dogfood has helped my senior dogs skin condition to clear up. Nothing else was working before.His fur is also soft and shiney.

I only trust 2 pre-made dog foods. This one and Royal C. My dogs love it and their coats are so shiny.

Bag came fine, no holes, perfectly sealed, and not expired. I bought this to mix in with my current dog food since this is a little bit on the spendier side for me.I will say it smells... not great. My Shiba disagrees and thinks it's the best smell in the world and I'm a terrible owner for not letting him stick his head in the bag.We'll have to wait and see if there is any skin/coat effect.

My dog likes it so I can only assume it tastes good. Other than that, I haven’t tried it and I don’t plan on it. I will say this. My dog does a lot better on this food than any other food. I’ve lost faith in most all dog foods. I’m sure this brand will sell out and the ingredients will change and become trash eventually. But as of now, they’re good.

Avoderm was impossible to find for awhile so I switched to a different brand, both dogs got itchy, found the Avoderm and they both stopped itching. I started using Avoderm in 2002. Love it, so do the pups (Aussie and Schipperke)

While in Grad School , my two friends had 2 Huskeys (Zachary & Zoila) with sensitive stomachs. The vet recommended Avoderm Dry and sure enough, they had no 'issues' once they were on this food. My dog.a black lab mix, came along (Zeke) and it was easier to buy one bag for all 3 dogs. Avoderm makes my dog's coat soooo soft and shiny from the Avocado oil. plus I've noticed that his 'waste' is a lot less and doesn't smell as bad whenever he's had to eat/nibble cheap dog food. It's well worth the price and Amazon seems to have the most competitive of prices on all the Avoderm since the local Petco & Pet Smart stopped carrying it.
