Vertex 3701-2625 1/8-5/8 Inch MT3 Integrated Keyless Drill Chuck

Very solid and tightly built. I was hesitant to spend the money, but I use a drill chuck so often in my little hobby mill that I went for it. Runout was about 0.0015". As a test I tried some VERY light milling in aluminum. I didn't see any slippage of the bit, so it tightens up pretty good. (not that I recommend milling with a drill chuck).Yes, I would buy it again.

High quality part. Good clamping force on bit. Saves alot of hassle and time when changing bits.

Solid and well built. It comes with a wrench but I find it tightens and loosens easily without the wrench being necessary. The drill chuck I received had just under 0.001" runout. I bought this because there are times when I needed a smaller drill chuck that could go down to 0" clamping capacity for my large, floor standing drill press. This drill chuck has made a perfect addition to accommodate that option.

Chuck is super smooth and finish is pretty good! Only problem is there’s a collar on the top for gripping and it’s only held by a set screw and can become canted. It doesn’t effect operation but does look bad when spinning.Runout measured at .002” with a dowel pin.A second set screw at 90 degrees to the first one in the collar would fix the cosmetic issue. Very pleased with the chuck though!

Been using for about a month. Super smooth, and jaws are precise. Most of the time I don’t use the tightening wrench, just hand tight is good enough. Excellent value!

Bought this for the work lathe, to replace something Benjamin Franklin probably built that I was using. This thing is absolutely perfect. So nice and easy to use, and I've never had a bit slip yet, and I do heavy machine work. Highly recommended

I have bought 2 other vertex chucks in the past that were very good. This one would constantly drop drill bits. Would not recommend.

Really good quality and no noticeable runout (I haven't measured it but I don't feel I need to).Highly recommended.
