Never knew they made black oil! Did a quick search and found this! Makes the all blacked out engine on my son's JR Dragster look even better.

Might be hard to tell from the first picture, but my K&N air filter was DIRTY! I am ashamed to say that I purchased my air filter in 2013 and before now I had never cleaned it. When my car didn't pass CA SMOG, I went online and found this cleaning kit. After using the filter cleaner 3 times (letting it sit 10 minutes before rinsing each time) I finally decided it was as clean as it was going to get, and boy was the water filthy the first 2 rinses! My mechanic did cation me about re-oiling it though, he recommended to only put a thin layer of oil because if it gets too thick it could drip down and get into the air intake, which could negatively effect a smog test. That didn't happen and the kit worked! Now I have a clean and freshly oiled air filter (2nd photo) and my car passed smog! I plan to clean my air intake now every 2 years before my smog test, and there is enough of the cleaner and the oil left in the bottles to be able to do this several more times with this kit. Very happy with this purchase!

It's a great product. I bought the kit for the black oil. The red filters are just a sore thumb in an exposed filter. I've managed to get the filter done, but zero thanks to K&N's squirt bottle applicator. It's a pain in the butt. Seems like any other method would be better

Easy to use

The product came in on time and as advertised. I have not used it yet, but will be cleaning out my filter and changing the oil color from red to black to better match my bike.

This product works very well and although a K&N Air Filter is more expensive than a paper one, it last for the life of the vehicle and just needs to be cleaned and re-oiled to the the job and i consider that it worth the extra cost.

Works great. Does what it is expected to do. Cleans filter nicely. But it will last for 3 times only , max 4 if you use it cautiously.
