this knife came in a nice box with custom cut foam
First, this knife came in a nice box with custom cut foam, fancy. It's a very sturdy, well designed and well built knife. Fit and finish very good, lock-up tight, no blade wobble. The grind was a bit uneven but, a short time on the stones fixed that. The steel isn't the best but takes a pretty good edge and is easy to sharpen. There is no clip but that, the teardrop shape and it's thin profile of just over a quarter of an inch (.264-.271 inch on my mic) make it disappear in the pocket. All in all - a great little knife for the price. I've spent $35-$50 for a much less well made knife. Overseas makers are finally understanding the concept of quality. Well done.Addendum - I guess I didn't stress the build of this knife - comparing it to a normal 2" slip joint knife - a Shrade or Buck for example - would be like comparing a Hummer to a Civic. People that are large tactical knife fans will think it is a cute little stocking stuffer, most others will see It as a great little pocket knife, good for most everyday purposes. Also, I believe that this knife has a bronze washer at it's pivot - not plastic - bronze pivot washers are used in many high-end folders. (Chris Reeves for example).

Awesome little knife
I really like this little knife. It is sharp out of the box and appears well made and durable. My only issue with it is no pocket clip, if it had one it would be perfect.

~Now here's a pocket knife worth reviewing*... A high quality, razor sharp utility knife for all!
~I'am a craftsman of some 20+ years, and always have a sharp knife handy~ for work, and for leisure....this is a very sharp, high quality steel blade, sharper than a razor! Great for: opening those "gorilla proof" plastic packages that most everything seems to be trapped in!, as well for cutting apples, cheese, sausages~^~ etc...I carry it with me virtually everywhere, and can't live without it...A great tool from a solid, reputable, old school company (Coast Cutlery), and a very good value for the money, would make a great gift for anyone over 12 years old! Cheers, Brian Hall is Bee2the3rd in Santa Monica...

Glad I bought this knife- it does exactly what I expected it to do. It's not a survival knife, tactical knife or fashion statement. It's just a great compact utility knife for EDC. I have no trouble operating it one handed, and it was sharp out of the box. Not sharp enough to shave with, but I didn't intend to use it that way. Disappears in the pocket nicely (has no pocket clip), and the straight cutting edge makes it a snap to sharpen. I bought this as a replacement for my lost Gerber Trendy, which I loved dearly, and I think I like it better than the Gerber. Certainly an excellent knife at a bargain price.

Exactly as described. Razor sharp, solid construction utility knife. Very light and very thin. Perfect for everyday pocket carry or attached to a zinger in a fishing vest.

OK, but knife could not be opened as received
Ok for price. OK for key ring, but bigger and sturdier than the smallest Swiss Army knife. Some bystanders might consider it more intimidating than a small Swiss Army knife. No clip (it doesn't advertise a clip; just reminding you). The knife I got was impossible to open as received. It. I used a small Bristol or star bit to loosen the pivot bearing screw/spring so I could open it. I would have given it 4 stars except that it didn't open as received and that would be quite disappointing if given as a gift or someone didn't have the right screwdriver handy to fix it. It also needed a few swipes on my sharpening rod to get it as sharp as I expected. Other than that the build quality is good and it looks solid. The frame lock works well, which I consider a safety feature compared to many pocket knives. My hands are too big and clumsy to open the small knife with just one hand, but the thumb hole and single-sided frame make it very easy to quickly open with two hands (no searching for a fingernail slot like a standard pocket knife). It is an nice little knife for opening packages and cutting cord and string,

Excellent knife
Brilliantly sharp and small. Won't unfold and stab you unexpectedly.
