Smoke alarm
I got these for my Granddaughter who had a small cooker fire but no functioning smoke alarm.Kids reached for something on the cooker, accidentally turned plate on, which burned a box on the cooker.

Good Alarm.
Perfect alarm, this was to replace a similar one which was installed over 12 years ago by the fire brigade (that one had a none replaceable battery) this one battery needs replacing probably after a few years, it has a cut off button so if you accidently burn the toast just press and it cancels. Previous alarm was by the same company and I had no problems with that one, so far so good with this one. Almost 2 years since alarm was fitted still it is working perfectly and I do ocassionaly burn the toast, I have alarm at bottom of stairs which are near (6ft or so) from kitchen if alarm goes off I can easily reach cancel button. Battery not replaced yet.

Value for money
Compact, easy to install and no false alarms from cooking. Good value and comes with battery. Very loud though, which is a good thing, but any pets should be in another room when testing.

Not working after less than a year
Bought last year. Started beeping, loudly last night; managed to switch it off, but then it started chirping as if the battery was low. Replaced the battery and its STILL chirping. Tried following Amazon's link to the manufacturer's support, but they wouldn't accept my email, as its not a 'business ' email! So we're left with a useless smoke alarm, with NO support from the manufacturer!

Neat smoke detector
Looks quite good for one of these, easy to fit and test.Purchased to replace 10 year old detector
