Classic 6X6 Pillowed White Glazed Ceramic Mosaic Tile Kitchen Backsplash Bathroom MTO0025

I bought 2 white tiles to use as polymer clay work surfaces and baking sheets. Based on the pictures, I thought these would be plain *smooth* white tiles with a flat surface. Instead, the edges are beveled (~1 inch in all around) and the glaze appears to have been applied in a lattice (very pretty, but not flat). I went to the local hardware and picked up some plain, flat tiles super cheap. I plan to keep these, though, and see if I am able to use them to apply texture (or for other artsy effects).If you want something that is a uniform white but is made interesting by the pattern of gloss (glaze) vs matte, this is exactly what you need.If you are hesitant to order ceramic tile via the post, there is no need to worry. The two tiles I ordered were cocooned in bubble wrap and buried in a sea of packing peanuts. How much of a sea? I ordered 2 6 inch tiles. The box that arrived was 16x16x8 inches! The box was badly dented and a couple peanuts were crunched, but the tiles didn't have a scratch on them. Whoever packed these deserves a raise :D

These would have been perfect except they have a waffle like texture to them which is not mentioned in the description!

I ordered these to use for my clay earrings. I don’t mind the tiny design they leave in the back of the earrings but I don’t like the way they slope on the ends. You can’t fit many earrings on it at all. The clay also doesn’t stick well to them because of the design. That was the point for me, I wanted to be able to cut my earrings out and have them stick so I wouldn’t have to transfer them to a different pan. Gotta look for something bigger and with no texture on them.

I like this tile, it's the perfect size! I use it for working with polymer clay. It's great because I can sculpt my projects and bake it on the same tile! That way I don't have to move my delicate piece to bake it!

Hard to tell in the image but the surface of the tile does have a texture. So if you're using them to back clay on, just know the bottom of your piece will get that texture

The description said they were smooth, however they are textured. Im glad I only ordered 2 to check them out
