Excellent jacket in most regards. It looks very good indeed and certainly doesn't look like a cheap coat at all. Although it's waxed it's no way near as waterproof as a non-quilted waxed jacked because of all the needle holes, plus it doesn't have a hood and the hand warmer pockets are unflapped, so I wouldn't want to be in the rain all day in it. However it is extremely warm and very windproof (I was out at 0 degrees C in just a tshirt with this over the top and felt toastie) and the collar fastens up to keep the wing out, so it's a very capable every day winter jacket that's capable of shrugging off a shower. If you're looking for an insulated wax jacket for heavy rain this isn't it, but then you wouldn't be looking at a quilted jacket anyway.Also it looks very nice and can be thrown on over jeans to drop the kids to school or over shirt and trousers to go meet a client in the evening.There is however one major flaw which irritates me - the hand warmer pockets are way too high up on the jacket, rendering them completely unusable. You'd literally be walking around with your hands on your nipples if you used them so in reality they only serve to allow water into the jacket. Would have scored 5 stars if they'd simply omitted the hand warmer pockets altogether or better yet moved them down six inches (there's plenty of space for them down where they should be!).One last note, the black version I ordered is much darker than it appears in the picture. It's also a very very dark green instead of true black. Looks nice though and I'm very happy with that, just saying.

Looks: very fashionable- the diamond pattern is very popular in the UK right now so you fit in, but the wax layer makes it practical for all weather. The high hand-warmer pockets add a nice touch, visually. The buttons aren't too flashy, but helps give off a "nice jacket" vibe. Zipper feels solid and durable. The inside is a decent flannel, maybe not as nice as other coats, but comfortable and not a big deal.Size: I usually wear a medium, but glad I got the large. Two buttons in the back to tailor it a bit or let it out, I like that option a lot.Pros:- looks good!- heavy-ish: I've been wearing it in 50 deg F weather and expect to wear it through winter when it's colder- can't beat the deal.. this jacket can hang with the best of them at a fraction of the costCons:- the sleeves have knitting on the inside that keep you warm, but I prefer without this- no real good place for your hands, chest pockets are a bit awkward for walking and side pockets only have to top flap.

Seems like a well made coat, has a good heavy weight to it. Disapointed that the buttons arnt gold like they are in the picture but rather a tarnished dull colour but these may improve with a polish. The pockets are deep but are at an awkward angle to rest your hands in but are great for storage. Alot of the reviews seem to say that you should order 1 size bigger which i did but i think my correct size would have fitted slightly better so in my opinion, the manufacturer is spot on with its sizes. Overall, i am pleased with the jacket for the money , its just a shame about the dullness of the buttons.

I really liked the jacket and it fitted well.Unfortunately it did have a fault on it (which can happen). I returned the jacket but they refused to refund my postage as they said they couldn't see a fault on it (that old chestnut).If you receive the jacket without faults I'm sure you'll be pleased with it, but don't expect fair customer service if there's a problem.

the jacket is quite good, but sizing is way out, returned XL for XXL but still too tight on shoulders and chest.If you are 44" chest or more it wont fit. I was going on holiday the day it arrived and threw the packaging away without trying it on, looks like one for the charity shop.

Purchased for my dad. He is a very picky jacket wearer, but this time I got lucky. The jacket hangs very nice and has a fitted feel, very stylish. Plenty of scarf/gloves space in the pockets. Overall quality and feel is very good, and expected for the price. Perfect for autumn or spring.

I ordered this coat as a work coat for the husband, but when it arrived he said it was to good to wear to work and has kept it for everyday wear .The fit was true to size and is a nice well made coat . Looks more expensive than it was.
