I recently had a need for a new microwave cover due to the previous cover finally biting the dust after several years of faithful service. I mistakenly thought all covers were pretty much the same. After doing a little bit of research I decided to see what other options I had in terms of a better cover. After reading the reviews for this cover I decided to give it a try. It works very well so far. Extremely sturdy and large enough to cover most full size plates. I also like the vents which help to regulate heat build up and moisture. And being bpa free as well as being dishwasher safe is a plus. The only negative I could find is the sticker that comes with the plate. It is very hard to remove. Of course its nothing that a little soaking in hot water won't fix but just be aware that the sticker will be very hard to take off without leaving residue if you decide to purchase this plate cover.

Durable and not too heavy

Would not a reasonable person feel that since this cover is designed to endure temperatures produced within a microwave oven. That the materials would be expected to retain molecular integrity? Should you agree with the prior statement the reality would be no. Eventually it WILL fracture. At such time you may feel the 100% LIFETIME WARRANTY would kick in. Best case at that point is a begrudging refund. Maybe. In my case it was 1yr 5mo to self destruction.

Have used this cover several times now and so far so good. I originally thought it would fit over the outside of my 10.5 inch plates based on the stated size of 10.5 inches, but instead fits exactly on top of my 10.5 inch plate at the exact outside edge. I was skeptical initially that it would fall off when turning in the microwave but it sits on top of the plate nicely and so far no problems falling off. I opted for this one despite the much higher price because of the perceived quality, and so far it has lived up to its billing. I needed one that could withstand being in the microwave on high for in excess of 7 or 8 minutes and it has met that perfectly; no melting like reviews of some of the competing products. I also like that is truly clear to see inside; most of the others are not clear enough to really see through. It does a perfect job of catching all splattering, especially from fish which splatters a lot. it rinses clean very easily also. When removing it by handle at the center top, it does get pretty hot if it has been in the microwave for awhile, but no real problem as long as sensible caution is used. Well worth it for the convenience it provides.

I like this microwave plate cover a lot for all the reasons others have written about. My one and only issue is the handle is somewhat short and it does get hot, making it difficult to get hold of. I will say glowing things about the customer service. The price on this item dropped within a week of my purchasing it, and when I wrote them about it, they responded quickly, and refunded the difference back to my credit card. In this day and age it's so nice to deal with a company that offers great customer service and stands behind their product! Kudos to them!

This is as advertised. Excellent. My wife was skeptical and shocked at the price. Now, our cheapo covers gather dust in the cupboard and this is the only one we use.Buy quality and pay once. Buy economy a pay for replacements - again and again. It's really up to you.There has been no staining, discoloration or odor retained by this cover. Can't say I have dropped it on the tile floor so I suppose it could crack - given how heavy it is. I hope not as I want this to last.One word of caution. It is so thick that I think it fools the automatic sensor in our microwave oven. When I use sensor cook sometimes things get overdone when I use the cover. So now I just estimate and set the timer myself.Quality. Quality. Yes its a mundane item - but life is full of mundane tasks. Why not have a top notch mundane tool that will get the job done for you with no fuss, efficiently and effectively, so you can focus on something more sexy!

Nothing wrong with the design per say. It works well but I am very disappointed on quality. After buying this and one year later there are cracks everywhere in it, to the point where now it's split in half and unusable. Where do I get my lifetime warranty at? In addition this product was never used in a dishwasher which can be hard on things. It was well taken care of, but after 1 years use it was cracking where the handle on top was then where all the holes were and everywhere else. This is very poor and should have never happened for a product this expensive. This product costs 3 times what many of the other lid covers cost. 10 x more than others my parent have a cheap lid cover and after 5 years they are still using it.

This is well designed and made, and does exactly what it needs to do. It fits perfectly over most plates, has good clearance for food piled on the plate, acts as a shield for potentially messy sauces, and traps in most of the steam so the food can cook better and stay warm longer. The built-in handle works well and doesn't get hot. The plastic is sturdy and easily washable.For those not familiar with why these things work: Microwaves work by specifically heating water molecules. The rest of the food is cooked by absorbing some of the heat from the water. Without a cover, much of the heat is lost when the water turns to steam and escapes. Covers like this trap the steam closer to the food so that the food can cook more thoroughly and evenly. This cover does a good job of that. The small holes are just enough to make sure pressure doesn't build up dangerously without allowing too much of the heat to escape.

Item came but was not as pictured. There was no labeling on the unit at all and it was packaged in a plastic bag with a sheet that said it was the San Sero Oven Plate. I am uncertain whether it was a return or not. Possibly it was but it looked new.The top handle is convenient and doesn't seem to get too hot.As someone already pointed out the heated food does get a little soggy because of the smallness of the holes. But that compared to cleaning up a microwave makes the unit a pleasant surprise.

The media could not be loaded.  Am glad I finally got this beautiful cover, there was an issue with my first order but the seller got back to me and offered a replacement. The cover is pretty good, very good quality. Am not disappointed at all. It’s worth the money and I would definitely recommend it.

The plastic is very brittle and hard. I have a identical unit from another supplier, the plastic is much more flexible and softer. The ventilation holes in the top of the unit are too small and everything over cooks.I can’t recommend this to anyone.

Worked okay but just cracked all over the place. Durability was much lower than I had hoped for given the price. I have never put it in dishwasher either. Only hand washed and it still decided to randomly crack. Only used it while covering bowls while warming up soup too and not high temperature.

Keeps the lid on potential messes.Better to clean this cover then splatter inside your microwave.Worth every penny.
