Works and is nice looking.
There are two VDO gauges that look nearly identical here on Amazon. One is about $15.00 more than the other. The cheaper one states China as country of origin. The other does not list a country of origin. I find that interesting. Even so, this less expensive one is working well so far on my minivan. I also bought both a more expensive VDO sending unit and the cheaper one for $15. Both work as expected. If you buy the less expensive sender for this Oil pressure gauge just be sure to get the one for 0-80PSI and not the one for measuring in BAR or 150psi. Only the 0-80PSI sender will work with this gauge. How long the cheaper sender and cheaper VDO gauge will last is anyone's guess but if either fails I will come back and update my post to indicate how long it lasted before failure. This cheaper one came in VDO packaging and included a red and a green bulb cover so you can change the bulb color if desired from the white. I liked the green. It also comes with a nice threaded collar so you can install the gauge in a mount plate with ease.So far I am very pleased with both the $29 VDO gauge and the $15 Sending unit. Both seem to work perfectly. (for now). I gave it four stars only because of my slight fear that they might not last long.

A very nice gauge.
This is a high quality gauge. The best part is it perfectly7 matches the other gauges in my classic Porsche.

Great quality gauge, but buy the matching sender and save yourself a headache!
This is a great quality gauge and was a perfect fit in my Jeep CJ7's dash. The gauge comes with a light bulb but I replaced with an LED light to match the rest of my dash build and illumination is great throughout the gauge. I did try this gauge with various Jeep oil pressure senders and could not get one to work properly with the gauge ranges but that was likely due to the multitude of Jeep senders used over the years. I finally gave in and just bought the VDO oil pressure sender, and I just wish I had done that from the beginning!

I purchased this VDO instrument to replace a 28 year old version of the same gauge (date code 07 '86). The previous owner used the wrong pressure sender and it ruined the original gauge (always use VDO senders with VDO gauges for best accuracy). Many replacement products suffer in terms of quality and draftsmanship, not VDO. This product was just as crisp and well-made as the gauge it replaced. I will be replacing all my gauges with the Vision series because these are no-nonsense clear indicators and perform as designed.

This works with the VDO sender. The only unexpected detail is, the scale marks are irregular - they are NOT evenly spaced like the picture on Amazon. You have to wonder if it's a misprint.I didn't check the pressure with a mechanical gauge but it does warn me when my oil pressure approaches valve-clatter level.

Works great
This works perfectly with the VDO sender I have. I have the sender connected to my Miata stock dash gauge (not reliable and slow, thus the AUX gauge), and this gauge located in my glovebox gauge pod.
