Pestell Easy Clean Clumping Cat Litter with Baking Soda, 40-Pound

For the past year or so I have bought Tidy Cats litter in the 35lb yellow and teal tub for about ten bucks when on sale. Recently I decided to look here on Amazon and see what kind of deals I could find and save myself a trip to the store and avoid having to carry the heavy tub in the house from the car. I bought this Pestell cat litter based on the great reviews and I am very pleased with the purchase.You get a 40lb bag (5 more lbs than the Tidy Cat) for about a dollar more than what I had previously been buying. The quality of the litter is great. The texture is exactly like the Tidy Cats I had been using, but the Pestell is unscented and it has NO DUST cloud when you dump it into the box! The odor control is great. I have 2 cats, one of which tends to go "number 2" quite often due to digestion problems. This Pestell litter keeps the odors under control so much better than the previous litter. It clumps perfectly and is easy to scoop out. The urine clumps do not get cakey or pastey or stick to the litter box.The bag is easy to pour from - ALOT easier than pouring from the big tub that I used to buy. I can just put my fingers through the handle with one hand and then grab the bottom with the other hand and pour it right into the litter box. Using the tub was quite awkward. There is no mess with this litter.. no dust cloud in your face at all and no mess on the floor.My only wish is that the bag was resealable, but it is not a major complaint by any means. I just snipped a corner of the bag off with scissors and dump it in like that. It makes it so easy to pour. I put the bag under the cupboard then - it is actually easier to store too than the tub was.Overall I feel this litter is a great choice. The price is great and it is great quality. I am going to continue to buy this litter.Recommended!I was so compelled to come back here and write an update - I absolutely love this litter! The odor control is sooo good that I have literally forgotten to scoop the litter box! I hate to say it, because I should be used to it just out of habit, but I left the box go for 4 and a half days and you could not smell it at all! To me, that is amazing. Of course when I took the roof off of the litter box, I was equally amazed at the mess in there lol and cannot believe my cats had not scratched out my eyeballs for being so neglectful. I felt so bad for my little girls once I realized I hadn't scooped it and saw the mess in there. I keep up with it daily again now, but it sure was a good test of the litter. I can say without a doubt that it definitely has total odor control. This stuff is wonderful.

I have purchased this product for the past 10 months from Amazon for less than $12 a bag. I just went to re-order and couldn't believe that the price has been increased to over $37 a bag. THAT'S RIDICULOUS. How can you justify such an increase Amazon? GREED perhaps?This is a good product that works pretty well given the former price of $12/bag. But, it's certainly not great enough to warrant a price of $37 a bag.

Pestell Pet Products Easy Clean Scoopable Litter with Baking Soda 40lb Poly Bag with Handle I've tried every cat litter out there for my 3 cats and they've all had their good and bad points. Either they work ok, but smell too perfumey, smell great at first but then break down, or are so dusty that I can't breathe for a day or so after changing the litter.This stuff is great!!! The Pestell is the only litter that clumps hard enough to lock in the odor with it, and best of all, continues to clump hard even after several weeks! I never have to completely replace the litter, as removing the clumps leaves only clean litter behind. No smell of any kind lingers in the air, unless the cats forget to bury their solids. The dust is minimal, and the cats took to this litter right away. I can't say enough good things about this stuff!! Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!

Neither my cats nor I really like this litter. The odor control is TERRIBLE. Although the cats prefer clumping litter in general there has been a lot more usage of the feline pine litter boxes despite the fact that I've been emptying the litter robot much more frequently. I had to do a complete litter change after about 1 week of using this product because of the horrid smell. Clumping seems ok although it does break apart when scooping by hand. Even if the price went back down I wouldn't get this again.

I recently adopted a grown-up cat. In 3 months of adoption, I've already went through 4 kinds of cat litter: Fresh Step Clay (non-clumping), Fresh Step Scoopable, Precious Cat Classic and this, Petstell Easy Clean with baking soda. Among them, Easy Clean is the best in following ways:1. It has no fragrance added. I hate Fresh Step Scoopable's smell, it makes my kitty smells like industrial solvent.And it's not healthy for the cat. All other 3 are fragrance free, but Easy Clean still better than them for:2. It clumps very well which totally beats the Fresh Step Clay. Precious Cat Classic clumps very well too, however,3. Easy Clean has much less dust than Precious Cat Classic (actually, it has less dust than all 3 others). When I pour other 3 products in the litter box, I need to turn my head away otherwise I cannot breathe. But with Easy Clean, don't have to! Less dust means when kitty uses her bathroom, she will inhale less dust into her lung which is more healthy for her too.4. Easy Clean is much cheaper than all other clumping litter products I've ever seen.About the tracking, well, it still tracks, but I've lost my expectation on non-tracking litter from using 3 brands before. Easy Clean track the same as Precious Cat Classic if not less.UPDATE: now it's become SOoooo expensive that makes me not to want to buy it anymore. It used to be 11.99 for 40lb and now is almost 3 times the price! I removed one star from the rate solely because of the price.Amazon! Please make it affordable.UPDATE 2: Since the price of Petstell has been so HIGH, I had to buy some other brands cat litter. So now I have two more cat litter to compare:1. Premium Choice All Natural Unscented Scoopable Cat Litter, 40 Pound Bag: I bought it because I saw the review saying it wasn't dusty. However, it still a lot more dustier than Petstell. Also it forms looser clumps than Petstell. Even though the clump doesn't break by itself, It took about 1 week shorter to go through 40 lbs bag Premium Choice than to go through 40 lbs Petstell for a single indoor cat who pees and poops a lot (can count as 1.5 normal indoor cat)2. Premium Choice Extra Strength with Baking Soda Scoopable Cat Litter, 50 Pound Bag: less dustier than Premium Choice All Natural, but still dustier than Petstell. And somehow doesn't cover smell as good as Petstell with Baking Soda even though they both claim having baking soda. But a 50 lbs bag can use twice as long as a 40 lbs. bag of Petstell.I think I will switch back to Petstell if it's price lowered to less than $16 which is still higher than it's original price. But after all, it's a pretty good quality cat litter.
