Women's Drawstring Bra (34C, Ivory)

This organic cotton bra was a surprise! At age 70 this was the first bra that I have loved!After I washed it, it fit perfectly.Be sure to wash and dry it before you 'give up' on itbecause when I first tried it on, it was sloppy and ill-fitting, but - cotton shrinks.I love the fact that it is so soft and has no elastic or boning.One more lovely design feature on this organic cotton bra,is that the bottom drawstring can be pulled thru the casing,ruffling gently and snugging the bottom of the bra, up against the ribcage for a perfect fit.A 'design genius' made this bra for comfort.I can take it off over my head without untying it except that bottom drawstring tie,so it is a no-fuss item. I bought more of these. So glad to find them.

I am very pleased with this cotton, tie-front bra and will be purchasing a second one.- Fit: better than expected. I typically wear a Wacoal 42DDD & got the Cottonique 42DD -- largest size offered. The cup area is just about right; any smaller would not be enough coverage. Seems like a true 42DD.- Comfort/configuration: I keep the top two ties fastened & slip the bra on over my head; less fuss than tying 3 ties each time. I like that the bottom tie can be cinched a little for a lounge wear effect or a lot for more support along the bottom where an underwire might typically be found. I was expecting the bottom tie band to rub along the rib cage, but it's not overly constrictive; definitely more comfortable than an underwire band, IMO.- Material: the cotton material is soft & comfortable against the skin. Yes, the material is a tad thick, like a heavy cotton t-shirt or top. (Ideally, this design in a thinner, more delicate cotton would be a dream bra for people with sensitive skin. Cottonique, if you're reading, please consider a thinner cotton for your products, underwear too!)- Style: As depicted in photo. Nice & stylish. Due to the material thickness, the outline of the bra is visible under fitted/snug clothing, and the front ties are also moderately bulky. I wear a camisole over it, which helps tame it down.- Useful: I wear this UNDER my sports bra & it works great as a base layer for support & protects my skin from excessive sweating/heat rash.

First, I will say that the cups fit well, the straps fit well, the material is very nice and very soft, and the construction is high-quality. This is a very good product and very comfy. However, the sizing is tricky. I hope my sizing information is useful.I am 5'5" tall, 161lbs and carry my weight around above the hip. I am fit, but too heavy for my size, according to the statistics. The best fitting bra I have ever owned was a wire-free 34DD made by Bali. My measurements are 331/2 (ribs) 40 (bust). I ordered a 36B because I used to wear a 38A. Bra sizes are so confusing, but the 36B was a sister size. I'm saying it's fits somewhat small because if my ribs are 331/2" a 36 should be more than sufficient to go around me. But the gap in the front where the ties come together is at least 2". I was expecting the band drawstring to be closer to 36" around. The actual measurement is 31" and that is a big difference. The bra is still wearable and comfortable, but the company should consider more sizing options, and sizing more consistent with industry standards.

Sadly this isn’t an Amazon Prime product so I can’t return it.I have other front closures bras from this company which I absolutely love so I figured I’d love this one too. Not the case. The ties are quite noticeable and looks funny underneath tops. The ties loosen which feels like your breasts are going to fall out. There isn’t much support under your breasts either.The only plus is that it’s cotton which is best for my skin contact allergies but unfortunately it’s not a good fit and not a good value for the price.

The Cottonique Women's Drawstring Bra, size 42DD, is a very comfortable that does not provide a lot of support. I can see me wearing this bra around the house or for casual wear. The bra does allow for strap adjustment as there are strap sliders and the front ties allow you to customize the bra to fit you.I love how this bra is made from soft cotton and does not contain elastic.The only drawback is the water temperature used to wash the bra. The instructions state to go no higher than 40C or 104 degrees F, according to an online temperature converter.Recommend.

I like, but do not love, this bra. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. It fits well if you are familiar with the company's sizing, but if you've never ordered from them before, you may find it to be too big. I'm a 40D for conventional bras, but for this, I order a 40C, because the cups are too big otherwise. It's completely cotton so I don't have to worry about itching from my sensitivities, and it's got a lot more, uh, boyfriend appeal, I suppose, than this manufacturer's other bras. The strings don't make as big of a lump on the front of my shirt as I was worried about, and are reasonably easy to tie if you tie the bottom one first.The one thing that somewhat annoys me about this bra is the fact that the bottom string goes ALL the way through the band. I understand why, to allow for more comfortable and accurate fit, but I can quite literally feel the string sliding against the fabric as I move about, and it's a very odd feeling.

I like that this item is all cotton, and latex-free, but the sizing was not right for me, so I returned it, hence 2 stars instead of 3 or 4. It wasn't a matter of too big or too small. Although cup size is supposed to be the same for a 34B and a 32C (closer to my accurate size), it isn't always the case. Amazon did make returning the item for a refund quick and easy, so that is why I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1. If you don't wear a hard-to-find size, you might really like this item.

Not for me. I am sure it is good for women who have need for a really soft bra, but I found it fiddly and unsupportive.

Just the thing for the latex sensitive

Loosens up as worn but returns to original shape when dried in machine dryer. I love the mechanics of support and this bra looks cute! For me, I leave the top two ties tied and only untie the bottom tie when taking off or putting on this bra. It is relatively supportive and very comfortable.

fits good. very comfortable. nice to finally have a bra with no wire. and no more rashes :)
