Flex-Tube PU Polyurethane Duct Hose, Clear, 8" ID, 0.035" Wall, 25' Length

I purchased this 5" hose for my shop dust collection setup, and it is connected to my table saw. This stuff sees virtually no dust build-up on the inside thanks to the smooth walls, and the PU material seems to have a lot less static buildup than PVC and vinyl. It is very heavy duty and I can tell that it will take a real beating.This stuff is fairly stiff and heavy, which can make handling it cumbersome. I would not recommend using this in a tight space, or trying to store it in any sort of "compact" way because it is a little unwieldy. However, that's to be expected with a heavy duty item like this! I just fold mine in half and put it up against the wall behind my table saw when it is not in use. Initially I tried to store it up in the garage rafters, but that proved to be far too much of a hassle.Also note that the yellow spiral ribbing material will transfer yellow marks onto things if it is dragged over edges. The marks are easy enough to scrub off with a scouring pad, but just be aware of that.

Bought this for an older Troybuilt (1988) leaf vacuum and chipper. First put all 25 ft. onto the vacuum and it would only fill bag 1/2 full, cut it in half and it works perfect. Very durable & slick on inside. Leaves, small sticks & other debris slide through tube very easily. Clear tube makes seeing a blockage, if it occurs, very easy to see. Tube isn't as flexible as I would like, although it was close to freezing when I used it and warmer weather should make a significant difference.

Very high quality, thick gauge hose. I use it for dust collection from my cyclone straight to each machine with adapter ports. The 6" size is very large and fairly stiff, so it won't be as flexible as other (cheaper) hoses. This may be good or bad for your desired application. I find it just flexible enough to move from one machine to the other. I prefer the heavier duty hose and the yellow color brightens up the shop. Can you get a cheaper 6" hose for the money? Absolutely... but if you want high quality and a nice look, look no further. The "smooth bore" interior is about as smooth as a flex hose can get.
