Nice comfortable wedge, great price
I needed a wedge to help me with reflux at night and read lots of reviews on various products. This product seemed to be of the same description as much more expensive wedges but at a lower price. I was a little nervous taking a chance on it since no one had reviewed it before, but I'm happy to report that it is indeed a nice bed wedge with a firm but forgiving feel to it. The best feature for me is the width--and keep in mind that a "queen" is approximately half the size of a queen bed. Someone complained on another website because he thought a "king" meant that it was the size of a full king bed. The extra width on this wedge allows my arms to be supported and not just my torso. If you've tried to sleep with only pillows propping you up, you'll understand that your arms don't get supported--and that adds strain to your back. I had read a review of an almost identical memory foam product where many liked it but some said it was rock hard. If you prefer a very soft mattress you may find the wedge hard, but if you like a firm mattress with a memory foam top, this should be great. I would point out for those who say it's "rock hard" that if the wedge were made of a softer foam, you wouldn't have the 7" rise that's necessary for controlling reflux because it would squish down under your weight. My only problem with the product is not really the fault of the product: it is what it is. But I've had some trouble getting used to it and do find that I slide down it a bit and have to hitch myself up. It also takes some experimentation with and without pillows to find what's comfortable. I find that I don't need a pillow for my head when I'm on my back, but have to have one for my neck and shoulders when I'm on my side. The most comfortable position I've found for myself is to lie on my back with a pillow under my head and another pillow right where the wedge ends under my tailbone. This lifts my thighs and takes pressure off my back and knees. It's like a poor man's version of being in an adjustable bed. Only problem is that I can't keep any position for very long and so end up putting a pillow on the floor by the end of the night. I also sometimes just HAVE to sleep on my stomach and so flip the wedge up against the headboard. What's nice is that it actually stays in position and doesn't fall down on my head. I probably should have said this first, but when the wedge arrives, it will be squished into a zippered black bag. I was quite doubtful about the product as it looked awful with the cover just hanging over this squished foam. It started to gain its shape after an hour or so and after perhaps 12 hours (the next day), it looked just like the picture with the cover fitting quite snugly around it. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase--especially since I think I got the equivalent of the much more expensive wedges at a very reasonable price! Edit/update: my doctor told me I probably shouldn't have a pillow under my head along with the wedge because it makes me bend my neck too much, so when on my back I don't use a pillow under my head but do put it under my thighs. Then when I roll to my side, I take the pillow from under my legs and use it under my head. (Yes, I sleep lightly enough that I can do this throughout the night.) And I'm much more used to the wedge now and sleep very well with it.

Finally a PERFECT wedge!
I've read the other reviews and I have some tips. This is day 2 of owning this wedge. Some say it's hard to sleep on. Some say it's high. Some say it's too firm. The pictures are deceiving. As it LOOKS like it's hard. Here's what I say. It's very large. (I bought the XL) It comes just below my butt from my head. I'm 5'9 and big ( I'm Andrea's fiancee). I thought from the pictures this was going to be a hard foam wedge. It's firm but soft. Like a couch cushion. Plush and it gives. The memory foam is a super bonus for comfort. The cover is so nice. It's super quality. Everything is so nice. Well worth the money. Some people say it's hard to sleep on. Here's an easy fix. Prop a few pillows under your legs. It feels like your flat while you're reclined. Use a low loft pillow. Like the Malouf Z zoned pillow. They have a low loft that stopped my neck pain. I have 5 slipped discs in my spine. 3 in lumbar. 2 in neck. I had zero pain when I woke up. I'm waiting on surgery. Plus I have acid reflux. And sleep apnea. No issues last night. I woke up a few times as it's the first night. I've tried the NuWedge and many others. There is NOTHING like this wedge. It supports me all the way the my low back! It's so damn comfortable! I'm raving about it. I don't slide down and if you do use the pillows like I suggested under your legs. You're not going to find anything more comfortable than this. It honestly doesn't feel high because of the gradual slope. I returned the NuWedge because it felt high and hard. And it was only 7 inches of incline and has gel memory foam. But with the 1.5 density of polyurethane foam it's so comfy. Try it. Try the tips. Love this wedge.

Suffered from Sinus, throat Clearing and Anxiety issues for Years, This was my solution!
TLDR: 6'7" TALL 200lbs fits me great, takes up about half the width of Cali King bed. Takes getting used to now i am comfortable on it but seriously improved my sinuses, anxiety and quality of life. FSA reimbursable I suffered from chronic sinusitis all my life, I'd wake up in the morning barely able to breathe about every single day. I also was constantly clearing my throat and lungs in the morning after eating. I've also had bad anxiety throughout the past 10 years stemming from pressure behind my eyes and just generally feeling off. Turns out i suffered from acid reflux and silent reflux. I've never really had any heartburn and it wasn't a very obvious issue. My provider put me on nexium and ssris which didn't help much and I'm now in the process of getting off everything. I decided to try GAVISCON ADVANCE after meals and before bed as well as buying this pillow and i haven't felt better in 10 years. I still don't ever sleep through the entire night but i sleep much better than before. My mornings were especially bad days after drinking coffee or alcohol, or especially bad on days i had both. I also was a bed time eater which didn't help. My hypothesis, backed by my provider, is that the alcohol and caffeine relaxed my LES allowing acid and pepsin to come up into my sinuses at night when laying flat which was causing sinus inflammation. I believe that inflammation was also pressing on my brain which was leading to my anxiety. This pillow took about a week getting used to but after 3 days on it i noticed a huge difference in how i felt throughout the day. I've also tried to stop eating 3 hours before bed. It's expensive but well worth it for me and my FSA reimbursed for it. I can't say enough good things about this, I wasn't a believer but had tried everything and now I'm so glad i did.

Excellent product, but a much better one will be offered soon
If you're in need of an elevated bed wedge, while this one is good, I'd wait for their new release before purchasing one. The problem with this wedge, as with virtually all bed wedges of this type, is that they're too short to ensure comfort while sleeping. Despite its extra length, if you plan to use a wedge while sleeping, the best type to buy, is one that extends to the entire length of the bed. Up until now, there have been only a handful of companies that make such a product, and those require you to put the wedge between your box spring and mattress. This works fine if you sleep alone. If on the other hand, you share a Queen or King bed with your partner, and only one of you wants the bed elevated, it's not an option. Avana already has the prototype for a full length version of this product. The King version will actually be the size of a Twin mattress, both in width and length. This will enable you to sleep with your head elevated and to do so in complete comfort. I believe they will also be coming out with other versions. The bottom line is that this is an excellent product, but not so much if your purpose is to use it while sleeping. It will work fine for relaxing, but for overnight use, I'd wait for Avana's new full length bed wedges.

Great quality, BUT...
After purchasing no less than SIX other lumbar pillows for my acid reflux problem, I have come to the sad and disappointing conclusion that ALL of these bed wedges fail on one extremely important point: Because they are all slanted, you will always slip off of them in the middle of the night, and it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to stay perfectly centered on any of them when sleeping. And it doesn't matter how high or low the angle of the one you buy, because I've bought them all. The reason for this is simple physics... when you place anything on a slope, it will eventually roll down the hill to the very bottom, and even on this giant-sized pillow, by the time I wake up, I always wind up at the VERY BOTTOM of the wedge, despite having constantly adjusting myself to be centered on it throughout the entire night. The only bed wedge I will be buying next is one that FITS THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE BED, FROM HEAD TO TOE, because by now I am positive that only this kind of bed wedge will actually work. If anyone reading this can tell me how you stay firmly positioned on this wedge all night long without having to velcro or glue your body to it, I'd really like to know how you accomplish it!! UPDATE: BAD NEWS. After purchasing this pillow, I've spent nearly a thousand dollars on bed wedges that don't work. Some are better than others, but the fact remains: YOU CAN NEVER, EVER STAY CORRECTLY CENTERED ON THESE PILLOWS WITHOUT SLIPPING TO THE BOTTOM DURING THE NIGHT. It's no fault of the pillow, it's something called, GRAVITY. That's the "bad news." But after going broke buying at least nine of these things, here's the "good news." There is only ONE pillow that you'll ever need that actually WORKS. It's called, the "Avana Super Slant Full Length Bed Wedge Pillow," available on Amazon. It is the exact, same pillow as this one, but notice the description that says, "Full Length." This is the ONLY pillow that completely eliminates this problem!!! Had I realized the problem with all the others, I could have saved myself hundreds in wasted money. P.S. If you can elevate the head your entire bed, that works just as well, along with kind of wedges that go UNDER your entire mattress. But none of the partial pillows are even half as good as sleeping on a full-length inclined surface. I learned the hard way that this is the ONLY way to correct the slippage problem. I hope this information is helpful to you all.

solves reflux better for taller people
i like the gradual incline and the width is perfect for a queen sized bed but I'm short (5'1") and the length is too long so my head only reaches 3/4 of the way up the incline. I cannot rest with my hips on the slant and I don't think it was designed for that. I can sleep on my side, so that's nice and my reflux has been greatly reduced at night - YEAH! It's also comfortable and not too hot. I did buy the cover and it fits perfectly.

Great product solves annoying night time reflux
This is an excellent product. I purchased the Extra large size. I get infrequent acid reflux, but when it does comes, it is almost always at night. This strategy of elevation alone is curative for me, without medications. I slept on an incline for about 10 years, but recently tried to go flat. It has been good, but I still have the occasional bout of this, but it is not chronic anymore. I was looking for cheaper alternatives, but decided to buy "Made in America." This size may be slightly too large for me, but I wanted to err on that side, because I know that if you get too short of a pillow it will prop up only the head and shoulders and potential put MORE pressure on your stomach. So ideally, I think, you need a good gradual incline from the hips up. The options available allow for the right size for everyone. I am 6 foot tall and I think this was just slightly too long, would have been fine on an actual King size bed, but I have a queen. I can move around on this thing because its big, which is somewhat comforting during sleep, its not so narrow to feel you will fall off of it.

Don't waste your money
I don't like the wedge. I slept on it one night. It gave me a back ache. It's very uncomfortable. If I prop myself up with pillows I can control my reflux and my back doesn't hurt.

A little pricey, but certainly feels high quality.
Comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. Apparently sleeping occasionally with this is great for avoiding heartburn problems during the night, and I have noticed an improvement. Good stuff. A little pricey, but certainly feels high quality.

Great size bed wedge - very happy with this purchase!
Love this bed wedge. Yes it is more expensive than most but it is a really good size. Great for sleeping on your back or your side. It is plenty high enough though I do like to use another small pillow with it just to give my neck a little support. Updated review - I have been using this for well over a month now and find it very comfortable. It bounces back well and thanks to the slim memory foam layer it feels very soft to lay on even though it gives firm support. The cover is easy to take off and wash and goes back on just fine. Very happy with this purchase!

Most Effective Remedy for Nighttime Reflux
This wedge is made of high quality material. It has been a life saver. I used it for several months until I got control of reflux by natural means and occasionally consumption of Gaviscon. Presently, I only use it occasionally when I have flare ups. It's also great for sitting up at in bed and lying against the headboard. I do wish that the fabric was gripper though.
